As an actor, you must embody various personalities and motivations for different roles. You need to root for your character, whether they're a hero or a villain. It’s the essence of good acting, enabling you to justify the character's actions and make them feel human.

To be a great actor, you need to grasp every facet of your on-screen persona, flaws and all. Elijah Canlas embodies this depth of understanding as he brings Pablo Caballero to life in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.” When ent.abs-cbn.com asked him to share three things he dislikes about Pablo, his answers revealed an intimate knowledge of his character's inner workings.

The first thing Elijah hates about Pablo is his privileged attitude, a trait he also despises in people in real life. He remarked, "Doon na pumapasok sa pagka-privileged niya ‘yung yabang niya, ‘yung pagka-spoiled niya." Didn't he claim he's always used to getting his way? That's why he believed he could effortlessly win over Bubbles (Ivana Alawi)'s heart. And he boldly declared that no one, especially someone like Tanggol(Coco Martin), could stop him from getting what he desires.

Elijah also can't stand the young Caballero's anger management issues. "Minsan kalmado siya. Minsan he looks like he’s not gonna be fazed by anything, pero isang pitik lang, puputok siyaat may violent tendencies pa talaga si Pablo," he explained, emphasizing that this volatility is a very negative trait.

While he appreciates his character’s sense of style, he hates that Pablo often dresses inappropriately for the climate. He joked, "Nasa Pilipinas ka, Pablo, pero ang init-init ng suot mo palagi." Elijah admitted that wearing such outfits during filming makes him feel incredibly hot. "Tiis-ganda na lang," he further quipped.

We bet viewers will loathe Pablo even more as he fully unleashes his wickedness in the upcoming episodes of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” airing weeknights on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, TV5, and A2Z.
