Christopher de Leon has made it his mission to pour every ounce of his talent and passion into every role he does. That’s what we see in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo where he portrays Ramon, the father of Coco Martin’s character, Tanggol. Be mesmerized all over again by the veteran actor’s badass talent shown in this edition of Friday 5.

The video opens with the jailbreak scene where Ramon engaged in a shootout with the police. He escaped prison with his right-hand man Severino (Dindo Arroyo), who tried to convince him to surrender again, as the cops surrounded them. However, Ramon refused to give up despite sustaining gunshot wounds, and he was able to finally flee when the backup provided by Olga (Irma Adlawan) arrived just in the nick of time.

Christopher proved that he still has the stamina to pull off action-packed sequences. He delivered all adrenaline-pumping elements in a masterfully-orchestrated chase scene involving the car he was driving and police mobile including that of Rigor (John Estrada), with a handful of gunshots and explosions.

Even a casual conversation sounds intimidating when uttered by Ramon. In the third scene, he discussed with Greg (RK Bagatsing) the ropes of their business. He told him that ego could affect the success of their upcoming negotiations, and then left him to pursue a covert transaction. Greg didn’t know that his uncle was out to kill their business partner in cold blood.

The next string of big events transpired near Tanggol’s place where Ramon looked for a man named Utoy. His group almost clashed with the boys of Quiapo, but all Ramon did was spit out a threat and punch one of the guys to make the other camp shiver in fear.

As great as he is in drama, Christopher also creates chilling performances when needed. The strength of his portrayal makes Ramon an intimidating force in the mafia world, and his terrifying energy makes his enemies’ lives a living hell. We close this video with a savage crossfire in a hotel where his team was supposed to close a business deal, however, the cops arrived.
