The Quiapo food space is imprinted with vibrant cultural influences that constantly evolve and thrive. For instance, Chinese cuisine is present in stalls that offer hopia, lumpia, siopao, and mami. There are also food hubs that sell local delicacies like chicken piaparan (chicken simmered in coconut milk and turmeric). Another popular meal in Quiapo is the 10-peso pastil or cooked rice with meat topping wrapped in banana leaves, which Tanggol (Coco Martin) and Mokang (Lovi Poe) enjoyed on their spontaneous date.
