In a group of friends, there’s someone who makes life better through his antics. In Tanggol (Coco Martin)’s squad, the title ‘funny one’ belongs to Bulldog played by Sugar Ray “Mammoth” Estroso. They all might have their unique brand of humor but his is just hilariously snappy and punchier. Plus, he's loyal to his friends and family.

These might be the reasons why in a recent Kapamilya Poll where Entertainment.ABS-CBN.com asked netizens who among Tanggol’s ‘tropa’ is their favorite, Bulldog got 84% of the total votes. Now we're also curious to know what he’s like to his squadmates when the cameras are not rolling.

Well, they hang out in a true ‘tambay sa bilyaran’ fashion as their characters do. Mammoth has clearly grew close with his onscreen ‘tropa’ – Enteng (Jojit Lorenzo), Dolfo (Ryan Martin), Tanos (Marc “Big Mac” Andaya), and Oweng (Renz “Baby Giant” Baña).

Of course, he’s elated to be Coco Martin’s sidekick.

Just a little background, according to Mammoth in an interview with Bernadette Sembrano, Coco’s team thought of recruiting him into acting after watching one of his MMA fights. In case you didn’t know, he’s a professional MMA fighter, which makes him a perfect fit for action-packed scenes in the series.

Moreover, Mammoth jestingly admitted that he was a “basagulero” growing up. He often got into street fights, which is very similar to his character.

Although acting is far different from his previous world of Mixed Martial Arts, Mammoth enjoys his new career. And because of his role, we see his fight skills and natural humor.

Since he’s funny on- and off-cam, he builds rapport with people almost instantly. He can even get along with the shy Lovi Poe, who plays Mokang in the story.

He loves to take photos with his co-actors like Christopher de Leon, Dindo Arroyo, Joey Marquez, Mark Lapid, and Ronnie Lazaro.

In the story, Bulldog’s big-eyed wacky expressions and terrible pieces of advice might come off as annoying, but admit it, they’re funny.

Overall, he is a great ‘tropa,’ thanks to his loyalty and quirky personality.

He may be silly, but he also has emotional resonance, shown when his character decided to leave the rogue life behind with his friends. He has the ability to balance humor with heart, making him a fan favorite in his own right.
