Her Bagani character Malaya may be a deceitful goddess, but we all know how completely different actress Kristine Hermosa is in real life. Because for her family, she is the best wife for her husband Oyo Boy Sotto and the most awesome mom for their five adorable kids.
She may have opted to shy away from the spotlight ever since she got married to Oyo in 2011, but that’s apparently one of the best decisions she has ever made as she has been enjoying a blissful and fulfilled life as a full-time homemaker for almost 12 years now.
In 2021, the happy couple marked their 10th anniversary, with Kristine expressing how privileged she was to celebrate their decade-long marriage and the 37th birthday of her beau through a lengthy Instagram post, along with a sweet snap of them together.
“10th Birthsary. Kahit anong anggulo, hindi maitatago ang kagwapuhan mo. Gaya ng kahit anong hamon ng buhay, hindi maitatago ang kabutihan ng puso mo. It’s a privilege to be celebrating your life on earth and our milestones together. The imperfect you & me, and our God who never cease to perfect us is what makes this marriage more exciting,” Kristine started off her endearing post.
She continued, “I want to honor you my love for the man that you are in the Lord. God knew you were the exact person I needed in this fallen world. Thank God I did not miss. I love you my Vittorio! Cheers to having you and a lifetime together!”
And for this year, the 39-year-old actress once again didn’t miss to greet her beloved hubby on their 11th anniversary and on his 38th birthday. She wrote in the caption of her IG post, “Today may be a little extraordinary birthday for you but thank you for enduring with me.. mas lalo kang gumagwapo pag kasama kitang nagtitiis at nahihirapan.. joke!
But on a cheesy note, you are the best thing.. ang sarap mong kasama sa buhay, Hun. I love you so much!!! Happy birthday!! [sic]”
Then she added, “Happy 11th my By!! Sino ba namang mag-aakala. Iba talaga ang plano ni Lord! The best! [sic]”
Oyo, on the other hand, kept his message for his wife short but sweet by posting a gorgeous portrait of her and attached, “"11th. I [heart] U @khsotto. Thank you Father God for keeping us together [sic]”
In an IG post in 2019, Kristine divulged the secret to their long-lasting marriage. She shared, “Sa buhay ng mag-asawa, hindi ka palaging maganda sa paningin nila at lalo sa pakiramdam nila.. It is all by God's grace and love how married couples manage to stick together and still choose to love.. it is God who first loved us -- despite of our sinful nature.. HE chose us. and i will forever choose God -- same goes for YOU [Oyo] [sic]”
It can be recalled that the two tied the knot in a private ceremony held at a private resort in Talisay, Batangas in 2011. Since then, the couple has welcomed five children, namely, Kristian Daniel, Ondrea Bliss, Kaleb Hanns, Marvic Valentin, and Vittorio Isaac.
Celebrating almost 12 years of marriage with their five kids joining the fun, what more could they ask for? Whether it’s going for a ride together or just lounging at the beach, their solid relationship is giving all of us hope that true love does exist.
