The best musical icons joined forces on ASAP Natin ‘To’s May 15 episode. Entitled “#ASAPsanibpwersa,” OPM icons, P-pop sensations, and world-class performers came together to host an exciting afternoon party.
Opening with the jam “Awitin Mo, Isasayaw Ko,” the ASAP homies were led by Concert King Martin Nievera and rising star Janine Gutierrez. Chie Filomeno stepped up to also start the dancing groove.
Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid along with young divas Anji Salvacion and Jayda infected the crowd with “Disco Fever,” including dancers Jin Macapagal, Karina Bautista, and Krystal Brimner. Singing ladies Sheena Belarmino, Lara Maigue, and Fana transitioned the disco beats to “Rock, Baby, Rock” as Vivoree Esclito, Charlie Dizon, and Edward Barber danced along.
Charming performers Erik Santos, Nyoy Volante, and Enchong Dee then made the audience swoon to their rendition of “Swing.” The same goes for the handsome balladeers Ogie Alcasid, Jason Dy, and Kyle Echarri, who sang “Step No, Step Yes.”
Offering a sweet addition to the afternoon celebration, KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad as well as Darren Espanto and AC Bonifacio serenaded each other and the viewers with “Kiss, Kiss.”
The whole ASAP stage then flooded with energy as Mr. Pure Energy performed “Magsayawan” with the rest of the ASAP homies.
A different but refreshing tune was breathed into some popular songs in this episode’s New Gen Birit Sing-Off. JM Yosures performed his own rendition of “Titanium” while Fana interpreted “California Dreaming” in her own way. Sam Mangubat offered an exhilarating twist to “Chandelier” too as Sheena took on the challenge of adding her own personal touch to the song “Unstoppable.”
Charlie Puth’s single “Light Switch” has been all the craze online and ASAP featured its rocking beat with dancing hotties Jeremy Glinoga, Jameson Blake, Seth Fedelin, Kyle, and Enchong.
One of the country’s hottest girl groups, BINI graced the afternoon party with their splash of summer performance highlighting their hit song “Na Na Na.”
This was followed by a must-see collab of Asia’s Pop Heartthrob Darren and Fearless Diva Jona. Iconic singers Zsa Zsa Padilla, Gigi De Lana, and Regine also offered their powerful voices for a moving concert experience.
On the other hand, OG Sessionistas Juris and Nina, along with new generation singers Angela Ken, Anji, San Cruz, Jordan Andrews, Jeremy G, and Diego Gutierrez cooled the atmosphere down with a chill jamming session.
To hype up the celebration, dancing beauties AC and Andrea Brillantes stole the spotlight and began a 2NE1 K-pop dance showdown.
With viewers ready to rock on, spunky singers KZ Tandingan, Klarisse, Frenchie Dy, Sam Mangubat, and iDolls trio Lucas Garcia, Matty Juniosa, and Enzo Almario performed a slew of songs by the one and only Queen of Rock & Roll, Tina Turner.
P-pop idols of BGYO then took the party to a whole other level with their incredible singing and dancing skills during the performance of their original song, “Fly Away.”
As an end to the episode, the finest singers of the country offered a musical birthday gift to ABS-CBN Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast Cory Vidanes in “The Greatest Showdown”. Mr. Pure Energy Gary V kicked it off with his version of “This Time I’ll Be Sweeter.” OPM King Ogie strung this with a lovely rendition of “Just The Way You Are” and Concert King Martin touched hearts with his singing of “Heart To Heart.” The Voice Jed Madela gave a moving performance of “You Should Know By Now” before King of Theme Songs Erik enveloped audiences in a heartwarming rendition of “Got To Believe In Magic.” Asia’s Songbird Regine closed the tribute with a magnificent serenade of “I Won’t Last A Day Without You.”
