Many of us surely dreams of meeting our ultimate idols or favorite celebrities in the flesh. While this seems to be still impossible for some, there are others who are able to finally achieve it – just like Angeline Quinto.

Prior to becoming one of the brightest stars of ABS-CBN, Angeline only used to dream of meeting her ultimate idol Regine Velasquez. Thus, she really did everything in order to make that aspiration come true by joining a “Star For A Night” in 2003, in which the latter was the host. She may have failed to win the singing contest, but little she did know that after so many years, she would have the opportunity to work with her through the concerts and television programs they’re going to be both part of, and even became friends with her.

In her “Showbiz Pa More” guesting in 2019, the Queen of Teleserye Theme Songs disclosed that her main reason of auditioning to the competition was to really see the Asia’s Songbird. Despite the jitters that she felt since it was her first TV singing contest and she was only 12 years old, she still pushed through and even made it to the grand finals.

Many years had passed, Angeline had the chance to finally work with Regine when made it into the local entertainment scene after winning the 2010 reality singing contest “Star Power: Sharon’s Search for the Next Female Superstar” and became one of the most sought-after artists of ABS-CBN. Despite being talents of two different networks, that didn’t hinder them from being close friends, with Angge even paying her a visit on the set of the projects she did and bringing her the food that she cooked specially for her. This was what Regine divulged during her first-ever guesting in I Can See Your Voice.

They also had the opportunity to perform onstage together through the concerts and live shows they did together in the past years. That became regular when Regine transferred to ABS-CBN in 2018 and became the eventual headliner of ASAP Natin ‘To.
