With his sunny personality and vibrant aura, it’s definitely impossible for one’s attention to be not caught by Ferdinand Clemente, who goes by the screen name Prinsipe Makata. But wait till you hear his exceptional flair in comedy and poetry, which he seamlessly combines in his every performance onstage.

For sure, there are Kapamilya viewers out there who probably miss the kind of entertainment he provides. So, let’s all relive his remarkable audition during the Season 6 of Pilipinas Got Talent in this PGT Rewind feature!

While other poets take time and have to write down their thoughts before they’re able to come up with a masterpiece, Prinsipe Makata can actually make a poem in Filipino or Taglish complete with rhymes and mellifluous delivery on the spot.

He immediately astounded us with his poetic prowess as soon as he stepped onstage and introduced himself, uttering, “Ako po si Prinsipe Makata, tagasulat ng talata, tagabigkas ng salita, inyong tagahanga.” He tried to impress the judges, comprised by Vice Ganda, Angel Locsin, Freddie M. Garcia, and Robin Padilla with his sweet words and succeeded, as he instantly got an enthusiastic “yes” from the comedian-host.

The talented and witty poet went on to talk about his funny experiences with his ex-girlfriends, then used different props from the chest he brought with him as he conveyed some lyrical hugot lines that struck Vice and the audiences alike.

While he teased the Unkabogable Star in some of the lines and stanzas that he pronounced, Prinsipe Makata, he was also able to get her kilig with the sweet nothings that he dedicated to her. Vice, being great with words that she is, also showed off her talent in poetry as she commented on his performance.

In the end, he was able to get the “yes” of all the four judges and made it to the semi-finals of the competition.

Watch out for the other notable and astonishing performances that we’d witnessed in Pilipinas Got Talent Season 6 in the next episodes of PGT Rewind.
