We may not see her much on television nowadays, but Maricel Soriano continues to serve her adoring fans with happiness and entertainment through her YouTube channel. And in her latest vlog, she responded to some of the “Most Googled Questions” about her!

One of the first questions she answered was how she is related to Meryll, to which she replied that Meryll is her niece since she is her sister’s daughter. With regards to Mel Martinez, she stated that he’s actually her half-brother in the maternal side after her mom had a new relationship.

For those who would want to know what perfume she uses, she revealed that it actually varies depending on the occasion, but she prefers scents that are citrusy since the climate here in our country is humid. She expounded also uses floral sometimes, but not too much, and she’s not into woody or musk.

On why she is called the “Diamond Star,” the Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin actress said that she even doesn’t know how she got that moniker. She assumed that it came from Regal Films, one of the prominent production companies in the country, in which she made a few movies then. So, she just went with it and continues to embody it as she remains one of the brightest stars in the industry. The same goes to her nickname “Ms. Taray,” which she probably got because of her being straightforward.

While Maricel proudly exposed her height, which is 5’2,” yet declined the assumption that she’s rich. In fact, she’s the breadwinner of their family, especially during those times when she was only starting her showbiz career decades ago. But she later on said that she considers their status “moderate,” since they can still eat three to four meals a day.

There was also a question regarding her relationship with the late King of Comedy Dolphy. According to her, she may not be his true offspring, but she considers him as her father. Their closeness started when she worked with him in the classic 70s sitcom John En Marsha at nine years old. She played the role of Shirley, the younger daughter of the titular characters played by Dolphy and late actress Nida Blanca. She may come from a broken family in real life, but her co-stars made her feel how it is to have a complete family even just for reel.

The 57-year-old actress also directly answered the question who her husband is, which she initially clarified that it should be in the ‘past tense’ and then uttered Edu Manzano. They were also not blessed to have a child together.

She may not be married at present, but she’s very much happy and contented as a “singular sensation” and doing films, teleseryes, vlogs and even TikTok videos! Her four kids – her two sons Marron and Sebastien, and two furbabies Bella and Lola – also contribute to her happiness.
