In case you need motivation or a dash of good vibes to get you through the day, here is Kim Chiu serving you inspiring real talk as she takes on a Q and A session while cooking tortang talong in her latest vlog.

Kim faced all sorts of “sweet and spicy” questions sent by her followers. Most of the queries were about life hacks on how to be infinitely energetic like her. Well, two things: sunshine and fitness. The earlier you move, the more you’re setting yourself up for a good day.

Kim makes sure to exercise before anything else. She also suggests changing into your workout clothes and drinking coffee as soon as you leave the bed and listening to music while working out. And after 10 minutes or so, you’ll feel motivated to finish your workout set for the day.

She added that confidence will boost your energy, too, meaning don’t be scared of human interactions. But, at the end of the day, she pressed, we all have different forms of energizers. If ‘adding to cart’ or online shopping will keep your endorphins rushing, then do it. Kim clarified, though, that she needs her ‘alone time’ too in order to recharge, as she classifies herself as an ambivert.

If you’re a student who lacks motivation, Kim’s advice is to remind yourself always of your purpose. Questions like, “Para saan at kanino ko ito ginagawa”, will keep you on the right track. She further emphasized the value of giving back to your parents, one way of which is to get good grades.

For those planning to start a business, her number one tip is to have enough funds. Yes, you may borrow money for your capital, but beware of its limitations.

The It’s Showtime host also acknowledged failure as a normal part of life, as well as sad days. What she does is embrace the power of living in the present while carrying the lessons from those negative circumstances. She said that going through sadness first will make you appreciate happiness. Kim has such a healthy mindset that she even deals with haters gracefully by ignoring them.

Then, talking about fashion, Kim shared that the trick for a perfect OOTD is matching the right colors. She makes sure that she smells good too. One of her favorite designer perfumes has this mimosa scent. Maybe she gets tons of style inspo from K-Pop group Blackpink (Jennie Kim is her bias, though she loves all four members).

A netizen asked why she wasn’t present in Maja Salvador’s wedding, to which she honestly replied, “Hindi naman kami sobrang close na ni Maja. Hindi na rin kami masyadong nag-uusap.” Although, she was happy for Maja and even sent her a congratulatory message. She added that Maja reached out as well when Ate Lakam (Kim’s elder sister) got hospitalized. Kim added, “Hindi naman na siguro magma-matter kung present ako o hindi, as long as happy ako na nahanap niya ‘yung forever niya.”

In that vein, she was asked about the possibility of settling down and leaving showbiz. Kim shared that she sees herself having kids. She loves kids so much, as they come up to her with pure, loving energy. Had life taken a different turn, she would’ve become a daycare teacher.

But, at the moment, she opts to just go with the flow rather than be pressured by the idea of marriage. And having been raised in a conservative home, Kim doesn’t want to practice living in before marriage. She believes that a couple must enjoy their own lives first before settling down.

The Kapamilya star also talked a bit about her boyfriend, Xian Lim, and how they’re so clingy that they would have 50 video calls a day when she was in isolation due to COVID-19. There was a mention of her “Linlang” co-star Paulo Avelino as well, whom she considered “jojowain” in a past vlog with her BFFs Angelica Panganiban and Bela Padilla.

Had Kim gotten into a secret relationship? Find out in the video!
