Kiara Takahashi and Benedix Ramos will voice the second episode of audio drama program Dear MOR Celebrity Specials.

The tandem shared in an episode of Kapamilya Chat that music helped warm up their voices and camaraderie. It’s their first time working together but an impromptu duet of “Cruisin'" instantly made them comfortable during the recording.

While KarJon’s previous episode, The Broken Hearted, is quite dramatic, Kiara and Benedix’s story is a refreshing rom-com piece. Their episode titled “It’s a Match,” which is still based on a letter sender’s true story, touches on the red and green flags during the dating stage, making it relatable to listeners. He plays the very gentleman and hopeless romantic Russel, while she’s giving life to Jamaica, a bubbly girl who is seemingly attracted to red flags.

In real life, Kiara and Benedix believe that red flags shouldn’t be ignored. First, they can be indicators of where things are headed to. Also, it helps you realize how to behave in a relationship, so you wouldn’t be a red flag, yourself, said Benedix.

He added that we all have red flags within us and we also have different viewpoints about them. What might be a red flag to you might be a non-issue to someone else. Sometimes it’s just a matter of trying to see where things fit and accepting the other person’s flaws. Besides, a red flag can turn into a green one if the person is willing to change.

Kiara, on the other hand, learned from experience that waiting for a person to change the “red flags” can be a gruelling process. Most of the time, it just fails. She tried to compromise before but only realized she cannot change this person.

From there, Benedix touched on the importance of self-awareness. If he finds himself in that situation, he’d also let them figure out the red flags by themselves. Maybe he can also give honest feedback. Either way, he will motivate them to change. But if the cycle continues despite the chances and support he’s given them, he’d probably raise the white flag.

Since it’s their first time as voice talents, Kiara and Benedix were asked which part of their life story they’d want to be featured in a radio drama. Kiara said it’d be interesting to dramatize her struggles of going back and forth between Japan and the Philippines while growing up.

As for Benedix, he’d bare the chapter when he felt lost in life. He tried three different courses at three universities because he didn’t know what to do with his life. Soon, he realized that all those struggles brought him to where he wanted to be – in the entertainment industry.

Catch Kiara and Benedix as voice actors in Dear MOR Celebrity Specials: “It’s a Match” this Friday, June 17, on MOR Entertainment’s YouTube Channel.
