Keifer Sanchez, one-third of the young vocal trio TNT Boys, has released his debut single as a solo singer entitled “Last Reply.”

Fans, who admired his talent since he was a pre-teen on It’s Showtime’s Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids, are excited to know more about his journey growing into a more mature and well-rounded singer. Join in the conversation by watching this episode of Kapamilya Chat with Keifer!

Before Keifer talked about his new song “Last Reply,” which he also co-wrote , he shared how elated he is that he and his fellow TNT Boys Mackie Empuerto and Francis Concepcion are finally achieving another milestone in their career.

“Super happy kasi since matagal na po namin wish magkaroon kami ng single. Aside from TNT Boys’ single na ‘Together We Fly,’ gusto rin namin magka-solo single. So ayun, nangyayari na siya ngayon. So nauna si Mackie, then ako. Hopefully si Francis naman next,” he said.

The three have developed a solid bond, after all. From being finalists in TNT Kids back in 2017 together to becoming a tight-knit boy band, Keifer, Mackie, and Francis are always keeping in touch. They may not communicate every day because of their busy schedules, but they’ve found true friendship in each other.

Keifer shared that, just recently, Mackie asked him for advice about school since classes will be starting soon. Francis, on the other hand, is one of his usual gaming buddies.

Ironically, Keifer’s first solo single “Last Reply” is about losing a connection with someone you love. He revealed that it’s an emotional ballad about one’s struggles over the end of a long distance relationship. This song is the confession that the person would have done if given the chance. It’s a way of letting go and accepting the outcomes of one’s actions and decisions.

Complicated, right? It makes you wonder what experience is Keifer pulling this from. The singer-songwriter revealed that he simply got inspiration from reading a moving story on Facebook. He also recalled actual LDR stories from his friends.

Before creating this song, Keifer also went through some personal challenges, which molded him into the seasoned singer he is today.

Keifer admitted, “Nagkaroon ako ng anxiety tsaka dami kong problems sa boses ko. Puberty na ako nung time na ‘yon. ‘Di pa ako maka-adjust nang maayos sa boses ko. ‘Di ko pa mahanap ‘yung mga kanta na bagay sa akin.”

Being known for “birits” and hitting high notes, he was worried how the public would perceive it. While this caused him some anxiety, he was eventually able to adjust with the help of his family who gave him their support and management team who offered him the coaching and training he needs to find his new sound.

Moreover, he draws inspiration from his singing idols international superstar Ariana Grande, The Voice Of The Philippines coach Jed Madela, and King of Teleserye Theme Songs Erik Santos. If given the chance, he would grab the opportunity to collab with these artists.

Now, Keifer is happy with his vocal performances, while still getting used to his ‘mature’ voice. “Kailangan ko pa rin mag-training and mag-vocalize para masanay sa bago kong boses,” he said.
