Excitement was palpable as Julia Montes stepped onto the set for her first day of filming the much-anticipated series, "Saving Grace,” as seen in this behind-the-scenes clip.
Julia is definitely back, and her first day on the set of "Saving Grace" was nothing short of special! The production team pulled out a surprise to welcome her in her tent, complete with balloons and a tarpaulin that read, “Congratulations to our Best Actress,” celebrating her recent win at the 7th Eddys Awards.
We get a glimpse of Julia in character as Anna, the school teacher who discovers that one of her students is being abused. The plot is taken to a whole new level of drama and thrill as she takes the child in, creating a bond that goes beyond traditional family ties. The storyline tackles important issues like child abuse and toxic family dynamics, making it both moving and thought-provoking.
Julia mentioned she’s a bit nervous, likely because it’s been a while since she last acted in a TV series and because the story's depth adds to the pressure. But with her Dreamscape family by her side, she quickly felt at home.
Behind the scenes, Julia was also all smiles during the promo pictorial, with her bosses Cory Vidanes and Lauren Dyogi cheering her on.
"Saving Grace" is a reimagined version of NIPPON TV’s drama "Mother," and this project is incredibly special to Julia. It was the last one she discussed with her late mentor and Dreamscape Entertainment head, Deo Endrinal, who was one of her biggest supporters. Julia is determined to make this project a tribute to him.
Joining Julia in this drama are seasoned stars like Sam Milby, Janice de Belen, Jennica Garcia, Christian Bables, and the Megastar Sharon Cuneta. Plus, we’re introduced to Zia Grace, ABS-CBN’s newest child star, who plays the titular role.
