Ivana Alawi gathered her siblings Mona and Hash and mom Fatima for a Japanese mukbang session, which she documented in her latest vlog. Since it also involved a Q and A portion featuring queries from their followers, we got our servings of fascinating stories and juicy revelations.

Ivana got candid about her unforgettable experiences when she was just starting out in showbiz, admitting to some distasteful encounters in the past. She shared briefly, “Maraming masusungit. Ayaw kami bigyan ng pwesto. Ayaw kami bigyan ng pagkain. Sinusungitan kaming mag-ina.”

But if there was one artist who treated her the opposite and left a nice impression on her, it would be Barbie Forteza, whom she considers the kindest artist she worked with as a rookie.

“Ang naging pinakamabait sa akin na hindi ko makakalimutan, hindi ko pa siya nakakausap after, pero si Barbie Forteza. Sobrang totoo talaga siya. Kaya sobrang blessed siya because she really has a good heart.”

Another question came from a fan curious as to why Ivana seems to live life without problems, which the Kapamilya actress debunked. “Marami rin akong problema. Marami akong pinagdadaanan. Tao lang din ako.”

It's just that she was taught by her parents not to wash her dirty linen in public. “Hindi ako ‘yung taong ipagkakalat ko pa sa internet o sa buong mundo na ito ‘yung problema ko.”

Another admirable trait of Ivana that her family could vouch for is her generosity. She can give presents as pricey as a house and lot. She has taken from her father’s generosity, said Mommy Fatima, adding that Ivana’s dad used to give them anything they fancy, no matter the price, during special occasions. And as Ivana does the same to her siblings, Mommy Fatima sees it as proof of her big love for them.

In turn, she gets her siblings’ love, respect, and support. Mona even considers her Ate Ivana as the most special person in her life. “Best friend ko talaga si Ate Ivana and I’m really comfortable with her. I can open up with her.”

The only guy in the brood, Hash, was then asked if he's bothered seeing her sisters act sexy. He replied, “They are old enough to make their own decisions and they know better. They know their limits naman.”

This family is all for happiness, which they know only comes from contentment. As Mommy Fatima said when asked why they left their more extravagant life in Bahrain, “Hindi nababayaran ang saya. Kasi doon away nang away. Dito, maliit ang bahay mo pero ibang klase ang contentment.”

Meanwhile, asked if she currently has a suitor, Ivana’s only response was, “Yes.”
