Fact number one is he specialized in theater at the Philippine High School for the Arts, which is nestled amidst the legendary Mt. Makiling, thus he calls himself “laking-bundok.” He stayed in a dormitory for four years, meaning he survived a life without gadgets and signal.

When he’s not acting, Elijah is busy with sports. He grew up playing basketball and badminton and is currently into tennis, football, and soccer. Among his sports heroes are Novak Djokovic, Lionel Messi, Kobe Bryant, and Lin Dan.

He loves to surf. The beach is his go-to place to soothe his anxious thoughts.

One way to Elijah’s heart is through music. He has over a hundred vinyl records in his collection and he likes listening to local and foreign rap songs. “So kapag sumakay ka sa kotse ko at nakikinig tayo sa music, malamang baka Flow-G ‘yung tumutugtog diyan or Kendrick Lamar,” he said.

For the last item, he revealed that he’s addicted to cleaning his ears. “Pero gusto ko ‘yung madumi-dumi muna siya,” he quipped. For Elijah, cleaning the ears thoroughly is oddly “satisfying and pleasurable.”
