Elijah Canlas and Miles Ocampo are proof that shared passion makes a relationship a lot happier and stronger. In this episode of Kapamilya Chat, Elijah talked about ‘his world’ and how their love for acting keeps them together.

He began by sharing about Miles’ contribution to his performance in the acclaimed Summer Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 movie “About Us But Not About Us,” saying she helped him memorize his script. “Siya ‘yung ka-throw lines ko. Either lalabas kami or pupunta siya sa place ko tapos babasahin namin ‘yung script.”

“Even my other other projects, palagi akong nagco-consult sa kanya,” he further revealed. “She’s a fellow actress. Mahusay siya, so makakatulong ‘yung mga input niya. I love that she trusts me with her work as well.” Likewise, he supported Miles in her role in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.

Off-cam, he describes her as the sweetest girlfriend, “’Yung love language niya talaga giving gifts, eh. Mahilig siya magbigay ng gifts. Yesterday, may mga letters akong binabasa from her. Since old soul nga siya, ako din, susulatan ko siya ng mga hand-written letters. She wrote some letters for me na may mga drawing and mahahaba.”

He added, “She’s so thoughtful. She always thinks about how I feel, what I’ll do tapos sobrang involved na rin kami sa isa’t isang schedule.” He just wishes Miles would also learn to receive rather than just give, though this simply radiates how humble she is. And as many would notice, humility is one of their common attributes.

Asked to envision their future project together, Elijah wants to take a break from heavy dramas and instead take on the rom-com genre, in which his girlfriend is an expert. “Si Miles is a great comedic actress. Comedian siya in real life. So, I feel like marami akong matututunan sa kanya. If we ever work together, I like it to be a comedy or romantic-comedy talaga,” he shared.
