With over three decades of experience to her name, Dolly de Leon has donned a lot of characters and worked with different actors in both the local and international entertainment scene. But she remembers them all – the role, the scene, the faces she has shared screen with. That’s what she said and proved in this game called “Who-la Hu” on Kapamilya Chat.

In the challenge, Dolly would be shown a photo of her and she must guess which role or project the photo is from, starting off with a candid shot from “Istorya ni Ha”, an indie film where she played a sex worker. The movie also features John Lloyd Cruz, was directed by Lav Diaz, and had its world premiere at the prestigious BFI London Film Festival in the United Kingdom.

The next photo was taken from the film “Verdict” which tackles domestic abuse and which was also featured at the Venice Film Festival. It was directed by Raymund Gutierrez, whose no-script technique suits her acting method well. The globally acclaimed actress mentioned that she prefers improvisation in filming.

In “7 Days of Hell,” an episode of Folklore Season 2, Dolly portrayed a policewoman in a small community who was pushed to deal with supernatural beings due to her child’s ill condition.

Of course, we couldn’t leave out her portrayal as Abigail in the international film “Triangle of Sadness.”

Dolly has appeared in several Kapamilya teleseryes as well, including “Init Sa Magdamag,” which was her first local project when she came back to the Philippines after filming “Triangle of Sadness.”

She also guest-starred in the recently concluded series “Dirty Linen” as Olivia, the Fiero housemaid whose mysterious death set the tone of the story’s complicated drama and revenge.

The last photograph was from “Shake Rattle and Roll III”, her first-ever movie and which was directed by Peque Gallaga. She had no dialogue in the film, but she remembers she was given the spotlight for a few seconds.
