Motherhood is arguably one of the biggest milestones that could ever happen in the life of a woman as it is said to give us more purpose. While moms have various personal experiences from the time they conceive their child to raising them, we can all agree that each is truly special and beautiful in their own ways, right?
As we pay tribute to moms this Mother’s Day, let’s look how life has been for the four latest celebrity mommies listed in this Kapamilya Snaps feature, who have generously shared their journey to us through their social media posts and YouTube vlogs.
Iza Calzado
Iza didn’t just celebrate one, but two milestones on her birthday last year. Aside from hitting 40, she also announced her pregnancy by sharing photos of her baby bump. She wrote in the caption: “They were right. Life does begin at 40. Simply put, your life begins as your mother turns forty. To know that life is growing inside me is a great miracle. You are my miracle. You are my guiding light.”
Since then, Iza had been gleefully imparting her journey and adventures with her beloved “Bun Bun”. While other preggy moms are too afraid to move a lot in fear of causing complications to the baby in their womb, she had kept her active lifestyle by doing prenatal workouts. Besides, she and husband Ben Wintle also went on different escapades.
Weeks and days prior to welcoming their firstborn, she was treated to elegant baby showers. One was hosted by Magandang Buhay in December 2022 when she was on her 26th week, while the other one was by her closest friends last January 2023. She also shared a few snaps from her maternity photoshoot a day before giving birth, which she captioned: “Divine Feminine. Divine Power. Divine Purpose.”
And two months after taking a short social media break as she’s about to “go through matrescence and experience its joys and challenges,” Iza teased her followers with a snap of their daughter, who they named Deia Amihan Calzado Wintle and was born last January 26. As Deia turned three months last April, the proud mom finally bared her adorable face!
Now that she’s back to hustling, Iza tries her best to spend every second with Baby Deia, as she would even bring her to the set. She wrote in one of her posts; “Work days on set are so much better when I can smell my baby’s feet! Sarap!!!”
Jessy Mendiola
It was in August 2022 when Jessy announced her pregnancy through a series of photos and a video. On that same month, she and husband Luis Manzano hosted a gender reveal party, wherein they first learned that they were going to have a girl – just like what the I Can See Your Voice host had guessed.
For her maternity shoot, Jessy chose a splendid floral theme and captioned her post: “Every flower blooms in its own time.” Two months before welcoming their daughter, the couple hosted a fun baby shower in October 2022, which was attended by their loved ones and closest friends.
Although she gave birth on December 29, 2022, they only introduced their firstborn Isabella Rose Tawile Manzano, or simply “Rosie,” to the world in January 2023. They had already taken Baby Rosie to her first-ever out-of-town trip in Benguet during the Holy Week and got her baptized last April, with Nikki Gil and Alex Gonzaga as among the godmothers.
Jessy captioned one of her posts: “Grateful for everyone who made time to be with us during this special day. Rosie was super happy.”
Angelica Panganiban
One of the Kapamilya celebrities whose motherhood journey we fervently follow is of Angelica, who was absolutely over the moon when she disclosed her pregnancy in March 2022 by posting snaps of her partner Gregg Homan and a clip of her ultrasound. She captioned it: “Sa wakas!!! Magagampanan ko na rin ang pinaka hihintay, at pinaka importanteng papel ng buhay ko. Magiging ganap na INA na po ako (sic).”
The seasoned actress documented her gender reveal in a YouTube vlog, from the ultrasound to an intimate gathering with their closest friends to share the big news in June 2022. Two months later, she also had an under the sea-themed baby shower, which was attended by their loved ones and her colleagues and bosses in ABS-CBN. Her maternity pictorial that same month had the same motif, with her sexy photos while flexing her baby bump at the beach and on a boat raking in thousands of likes on IG.
Angelica finally gave birth to their firstborn Amila Sabine Homan in September 2022. Since then, she has been sharing her journey on social media as she posts photos of her and Baby Bean, along with the lessons she has learned, which includes her postpartum body, co-sleeping, among other topics.
And last February 2023, she and Gregg had their daughter christened, with Judy Ann Santos and Cherry Pie Picache as among the godmothers.
Angeline Quinto
The Queen of Teleserye Theme Songs indeed shocked everyone when she confirmed through an exclusive interview in December 2021 that she is indeed pregnant. A few days later on New Year’s Day 2022, she revealed her baby bump to greet everyone a “Happy 2022.” Before January ended, her bestie Vice Ganda hosted a gender reveal party, which was succeeded by her maternity shoot in February, wherein she also showed the identity of her partner Nonrev Daquina for the first time.
In March 2022, the couple held a grand baby shower. And on April 28, 2022 she finally gave birth to Baby Aziel Sylvio Quinto Daquina. At two months old, Baby Sylvio had a star-studded Christening with Vice Ganda, Yeng Constantino, and Erik Santos as among the guests.
Angeline also shared some of their simpler activities like baths, eating pasta for the first time, and visiting arcades. And last April 2023, their son officially turned one year old. They had a farm-themed party held at an events place in Lipa City, Batangas that features a big red barn and a windmill. Baby Sylvio was seen wearing a cowboy costume similar to that of Woody from the animated movie series Toy Story.
