Kambal sa Uma was created by novelists Jim Fernandez and Ernie Santiago and first published on Pinoy Komiks. It was adapted to movie by well-acclaimed director Joey Gosiengfiao and stars Rio Locsin as Ella, Orestes Ojeda, Al Tantay, and Julie Ann Fortich. Introducing then were showbiz siblings Dennis Roldan and Isabel Rivas.

In the television version, young actress Melissa Ricks played as Ella – a half-human half-rat character, Shaina Magdayao as Vira, and Rio Locsin, who played Ella in the movie adaptation, portrayed the role of Milagros – Ella’s mother.
