Former Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2 housemate Jon Avila portrayed the role of Kapitan Boom, the alter ego of Lance, the very first fumbling superhero who accomplishes his missions through bloopers.

The Filipino British hunk was launched by ABS-CBN as the lead actor in Mars Ravelo's Komiks Presents Kapitan Boom, a fantasy-drama series aired in 2008.

Jay-R Siaboc was Jon's human counterpart while Maja Salvador was their love interest. The superserye also starred the Brazilian model Mariana del Rio.

Included in the cast were Thou Reyes and veteran stars Gloria Sevilla, William Lorenzo and Bembol Rocco
