Our love affair with Korean series probably started in the early 2000s as Tagalized versions of some of the popular titles were broadcast in local channels, including ABS-CBN.

As we got engrossed with the unique, refreshing, and enticing narratives each presented, not to mention the good-looking cast members, there were a few K-dramas that were adapted as Kapamilya seryes in the past years. And last weekend, the highly-anticipated adaptation of the award-winning Korean drama Flower of Evil” finally premiered!

It immediately captivated us with breathtaking scenes just on its initial two episodes, such as the intimate underwater scene of its headliners Piolo Pascual and Lovi Poe. It follows the story of their characters Jacob and Iris, whose marriage is enshrouded with the former’s disturbing and grim history. It is based on the K-drama of the same title starred by Lee Joon-gi and Moon Chae-won in 2020.

Let’s look back on other remarkable remakes that we all loved through time in this episode of Kapamilya Update!
