In a world where many people do not believe in forever and true love anymore, unkabogable couple Vice Ganda and Ion Perez are living proof that those still exist and we only need to have faith that it will happen – just like what they have experienced.

From being mere strangers, whose paths got intertwined for the first time in Gandang Gabi Vice in October 2017 – thanks to her anak-anakan Carlo Mendoza – and eventually got closer by working alongside each other on It’s Showtime, the two have become one of the admirable power couples in showbiz.

Their journey may have never been easy, but Vice and Ion apparently made it as they’re now on their fifth year of being together! And as they celebrated their fifth anniversary last October 25, Ion recently treated their fans to a kilig vlog entitled “SABI NI MISTER, SABI NI MISIS”, wherein he was joined by his beloved Tutuy in reading and reacting to several comments from madlang netizens regarding their wedding video uploaded last year.

It can be recalled that it was in February 2022 when the couple confirmed through a video uploaded on Vice’s YouTube channel that they underwent a wedding commitment ceremony held at the Las Vegas Chapel in Nevada, USA on October 19, 2021.

Even though they’re already married, Vice divulged that they still celebrate their original anniversary, which is October 25, as it’s a very significant day for them.

The first comment they read recounted a statement of Vice before with regard to how to the pain she used to feel every time she attended weddings of her friends as it made her feel alone. Thus, the commenter imparted that she’s filled with pure happiness seeing Vice to finally be the one to walk down the aisle and face the altar, thanks to Ion who fulfilled it for her. She further told Vice how she deserves a blissful love life for making millions of madlang people happy every day.

Vice confirmed mentioning it during Anne Curtis and Erwan Heusaff’s wedding celebration in It’s Showtime when she was asked for her reaction about it.

“At that time na sunod-sunod na nagpapakasal ‘yong mga kasama ko sa Showtime, masaya ‘yong okasyon pero nalulungkot ako for myself. Ang saya ko for them, ang saya ko for other people, but realizing that everyone is getting married, [it’s] getting painful para sa akin kasi ‘yon unti-unting nagsi-sink in sa akin na lahat sila nakakatagpo ng partner, lahat sila may minamahal, tapos nakakatagpo ng minamahal nila na mahal din sila, tapos nagde-decide sila na magsama habang buhay. ‘Yong thought na ‘yon, at that point, ang lungkot naman kasi parang sa akin, hindi yata siya mangyayari,” she confessed.

According to her, she was beginning to get hopeless to find someone to whom she would spend her whole life with and to get married, and then Ion came. The sadness she felt immediately vanished and was replaced with “silver lining”. She thanked the commenter for being one of the madlang people who have been with her throughout her journey in finding love and who have been supportive of her and Ion’s relationship.

In the second comment, the madlang netizen expressed her appreciation to their simple and intimate wedding, as well as to Vice’s vow, which the Unkabogable Star revealed was actually spontaneous just like everything in their wedding

Someone also brought up the topic regarding the prejudices against the LGBTQ community and concerns on same sex relationships. As they schooled the viewers a little about it, Vice also asked Ion what compelled him to tell the world about their romance and stand up for it.

“’Yon ‘yong nararamdaman ko eh. Ba’t ko pagdadamutan ng pagkakataon ang sarili ko eh alam ko naman sa sarili ko na nasa tama ako. Kailan ko pa sasabihin? Kailan ko pa ipaparamdam? Eh ‘yon ang nararamdaman ko. Bahala na sila,” Ion said. He added that it’s certainly normal and understandable to feel frightened about the judgment of other people, but he just chooses to be his authentic self.

When asked how his guy friends reacted on their relationship, he revealed that the way they treated him actually hasn’t changed as they looked up to him and became proud of him more instead. Besides, he’s also able to encourage his friends, who are in same sex relationships like him to be open and not be ashamed of it if what they really feel is true love.

Vice related that she has also never felt any judgment from Ion’s family since the day she first met them as they welcomed her to their family with open arms.

As another commenter talked about how the timing of Ion’s arrival in her life was so perfect, the Unkabogable Star agreed to it and stated, “Hindi talaga dapat mawalan ng hope kasi ‘yong timing, hindi mo hawak. ‘Yong timing ng tadhana, ‘yong itinakda ng langit na mangyayari sa buhay mo, hindi mo ‘yong hawak eh. Mayroong Higher Being na magde-decide no’n kung kailan mo siya mae-experience, kung kailan darating sa’yo ang ipinagdadasal mo, kung kailan ‘yong perfect time.”

They chanced upon another comment who also expressed how happy she is for them, which made the couple share how they, especially Ion, used to get affected by the nasty comments that they read on social media. Thus, they have nothing but gratitude to those who are so supportive of them and hope that everyone would just be happy for one another.

“Sana lahat ng tao gano’n, ‘yong kapag nakakita kayo ng taong masaya, masaya rin kayo. Hindi ‘yong kapag nakita n’yo ‘yong taong masaya, ‘yong gusto n’yo maging malungkot sila kasi ayaw n’yo ng kasiyahan,” Vice uttered.

Ion then chimed in, “Try mo maging masaya, masarap. Tanggalin mo ‘yong inggit sa puso mo, ‘yong galit sa puso mo kung may ikinagagalit ka man. Ano bang masamang ginawa sa’yo ng kapwa mo? Ano bang epekto sa’yo ng kasiyahan namin?”

Once they’re done reading comments, Vice told her beloved Noy, “Whatever is happening between the both of us and whatever is happening around us, ang mahalaga alam ko sa sarili ko, sa puso ko, sa isip ko, alam ko na nasa tamang tao ako.”

The It’s Showtime hosts thanked everyone from different parts of the world who genuinely love and support them as individuals and as a couple. They further thrilled us by exchanging “I love yous” and giving each other tender embraces.
