If you’re curious about the life of a PA (Personal Assistant), Vice Ganda shows us what it’s like to be the right-hand person of somebody as famous as Regine Velasquez – perks and all.

As a huge fan of Asia’s Songbird, Vice enjoyed immersing himself into the busy world of his idol in a recent vlog episode, that is, even if he had to rise early for the 7 am call time of his ‘alaga.’

They must undergo swab tests first before entering the ABS-CBN studios. And from there, we witnessed one of the amazing rewards of being a celebrity PA, the chance to rub elbows with your boss’ fellow artists.

Working as an assistant, you must be flexible and strict about planning your client’s schedule. That day was dedicated to Regine’s taping for ASAP Natin ‘To and they start early for rehearsals, then the actual prod begins at 11:55 am.

Vice shows us that working as an aide means you’re ready to do whatever needs to be done like when Regine jestingly asked him, “Vice! Pakisaktan si Chie,” as Chie Filomeno enters the studio for the rehearsals. Haha!

He carried her bags throughout, made sure to disinfect the chairs before she sits on them, and even memorized his boss’ blockings on stage. He doubled as a voice coach as well, and at some point, a stage mom cheering for her. He is Vice Ganda, but for a day, he had no problem fading into the background as a real PA should. It’s fun seeing how proud he is of his boss, the Asia’s Songbird – “not Philippines, not Luzon, not Visayas, not Mindanao, but Asia, a continent,” he quips.
Since he’s Regine’s PA, he was also picked as Ogie Alcasid’s stand-in while the latter has not yet arrived. Of course, he inescapably entertained the ASAP Natin ‘To family with his funny antics. We saw the likes of Zsa Zsa Padilla, Martin Nievera, Enchong Dee, and Kim Chiu amused by the presence of a blonde, ‘sosyalin’ assistant in the studio.

Back to the dressing room, Vice prepared Regine’s wardrobe pieces and inspected even the littlest detail such as the sequins on her dress. He was called in for a quick appearance during Regine’s on-cam spiels.

Pack-up time came. Vice scanned every corner of the dressing room making sure not to leave trash or anything because in reality, he says, it’s the place where “chismis” are often turned up. And as a true fanatic, he gushed about being able to keep Regine’s used tissue. Lol.

To cap it off, Regine asks Vice about his experience as an 'alalay' and the latter called it “remarkable.” She also shares that she never had a PA until recently. Regine confides that she enjoys doing her makeup and styling, although they now have a resident stylist in ASAP Natin ‘To.
