Julia Montes is the Philippines’ ‘Mother.’

The Kapamilya actress is making her highly anticipated comeback to primetime television with "Saving Grace," the Philippine adaptation of the acclaimed Japanese series "Mother." This grand project by Dreamscape Entertainment promises to showcase Julia in a role that is both deeply resonant and challenging.

"Saving Grace" is based on the 2010 Japanese drama "Mother," which tells the story of an elementary school teacher (Julia), who discovers that one of her female students, named ‘Grace’ in this Kapamilya version, has been abused by her mother, leading to a close and complex relationship between them.

Dreamscape Entertainment has just dropped another explosive and exciting detail about the highly anticipated series. A cast reveal teaser has unveiled some powerhouse actors joining Julia in this gripping drama including Sam Milby, Janice de Belen, Jennica Garcia, Christian Bables, and the Megastar Sharon Cuneta.

Based on the images interspersed in the teaser video, Jennica will be playing the young girl’s abusive mother, while Christian takes on the role of her lover. Janice will portray a woman who becomes an ally and supporter of Julia’s character, and later in the story, a significant plot twist will be revealed about their characters. Meanwhile, Sharon will play the adoptive mother of Julia’s character, adding even more depth and emotion to the narrative.

During the cast reveal shoot, the stars shared their thoughts about the upcoming teleserye. Sam expressed his excitement, noting that he’s looking forward to how the series will serve as a vessel to showcase reality in our society. Meanwhile, Jennica and Christian are also thrilled to be part of another Dreamscape Entertainment project and are intensely gearing up for their roles and new challenges. To recall, the two were previously paired up in the Dreamscape series “Dirty Linen.”

Of course, with Janice and Sharon in the cast, we can expect that these actresses will ‘mother’ well in their drama-heavy, powerful scenes.

For Julia, this project is close to her heart. “Minsan merong tao na tutulong sa’yo at ‘yun ang magbabago ng buhay mo,” she hinted about the core of the story, adding that she was touched when the late Dreamscape Entertainment head, Deo Endrinal, last talked to her about this project, giving her all the more reasons to accept it as her comeback vehicle.
