Kapamilya stars were cited for mastery in their craft as they were recognized in the 2nd Laurus Nobilis Media Excellence Awards of Lyceum of the Philippines University-Cavite (LPU-Cavite).

Melai Cantiveros and Luis Manzano were honored as the Female and Male Outstanding Entertainment Hosts, while “Linlang” star Paulo Avelino was named Outstanding TV Actor.

Melai thanked her bosses, co-workers, co-hosts, fans, and husband for helping her hone her skills as a host.

“Sobrang thankful ako sa [kanila] dahil ang pagiging host naman is hindi lang ikaw eh, kapag may mga co-host ka tulungan kayong lahat,” the “Magandang Buhay” host said.

Star Magic artists Kathryn Bernardo and Donny Pangilinan won as Outstanding Female and Male Brand Endorsers. On the other hand, “ASAP Natin ‘To” artist Moira dela Torre emerged as the Outstanding Female Music Performer.

“Rewind” stars Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera were also honored for their performance in the box-office movie, bagging the award for Media Excellence in Film (Male & Female).
