Ivana Alawi has always been vocal about her deep love and admiration for her mother, Mommy Fatima. In numerous interviews, she has shared how her mother stood by her through the ups and downs of her showbiz journey. As a token of gratitude, the "FPJ's Batang Quiapo" star consistently reciprocates the love, care, and support she continues to receive from her mother.

For this year's Mother’s Day, Ivana asked Mommy Fatima what special dish she wanted, and her mother requested ‘inihaw na tilapia.’ To make the day extra special, the Alawi family went to a friend’s farm resort which has a serene nature and ‘buhay-probinsya’ ambiance, perfect for a memorable celebration. The resort features a fishpond, which became the highlight of their visit. Ivana and Mommy Fatima took on a fishing adventure, with a twist: each fish caught would earn Mommy Fatima a reward of 200,000 pesos. Unbeknownst to her, Ivana had already planned to give her a total of 2 million pesos as a surprise.

Don’t mothers deserve to be treated like queens and cherished as if they deserve the world—not just on Mother’s Day, but every day? As Ivana puts it, “Make sure to make your mom feel special today and everyday kasi habang nandito sila sa mundo dapat talaga pinapahalagan natin sila. At kung ano ‘yung care na binibigay nila sa atin nu’ng tayo ay bata pa ay dapat suklian natin sila.”

The fishing activity turned out to be entertaining, especially with Mommy Fatima struggling at first. The family also enjoyed picking green mangoes straight from the trees and playing with a three-year-old horse at the farm.

They made sure to include Amira, Ivana’s eldest sister, in the celebration via video call to wish her a Happy Mother’s Day, as she couldn't join them due to her child being sick.

Each of her children gave her a special gift. Mona gifted her a new pair of shoes, as Mommy Fatima wished for new comfortable footwear. Interestingly, we learned about a Filipino superstition that when you gift someone shoes, they should give you a coin in return. Amira sent a bouquet of chocolates and a mug printed with “Best Mom Ever.” Just when Mommy Fatima thought Hash had no gift for her, he surprised her with new luggage, and upon opening it, she found bundles of money inside, amounting to 2 million pesos.

"Hala! Ang swerte ko naman,” exclaimed the beautiful mom. While she feels fortunate to have such loving children who bring her joy, it's her children who are truly lucky to have a hardworking and devoted mother like her.

The day's farm adventure didn't end there! It was time to grill the tilapia they had caught and enjoy a feast with the other seafood that had been prepared.
