What do we get when Piolo Pascual and Lovi Poe share the same screen? Apart from hotness overload, we get world-class acting and a ton of thrilling action, as evidenced by the full trailer of their upcoming series “Flower of Evil.” Honestly, we got goosebumps while watching the three-minute video!

ABS-CBN Entertainment just dropped the trailer on YouTube, and in there we see Piolo and Lovi’s spicy chemistry as a married couple tested by secrets. The local remake of the hit K-drama with the same title remained faithful to the original plot, following the story of Iris (Lovi), a detective handling a murder case that would threaten to uncover her husband Jacob (Lovi)’s dark past.

Unlike the previous teasers that only featured Piolo and Lovi, the full trailer introduced more characters to watch for including that of JC De Vera and Joem Bascon as Lovi’s colleagues in the law enforcement, as well as that of Joross Gamboa, who appears to know something about Jacob’s identity. Seasoned actors Edu Manzano and Agot Isidro add more mystery in the story.

The cast and creatives previewed the trailer in a watch party, and everyone had huge reaction. Well, same. We’re giving the Most Ecstatic award to Denise Laurel, who kept cheering on for her co-stars. Everyone was caught by suspense but also had whooping moments, particularly on Piolo and Lovi’s steamy scene a few seconds into the whole trailer, and the intense scenes that reveal their natural flair for action. The whole team was hyped up by the Ultimate Leading Man’s much-awaited comeback and the Supreme Actress’ first ever teleserye as a Kapamilya.

Also in the star-studded cast are Rita Avila, Robert Sena, Epy Quizon, Jett Pangan, and more.

“Flower of Evil” is set to premier on June 23 via streaming service platform Viu, and on June 25 via Kapamilya Channel.
