For the inaugural episode of ABS-CBN Entertainment’s Hotspot this year, our gregarious host DJ Jhai Ho took us to his and Gillian Vicencio’s trip to the famous Dapitan Arcade in Quezon City, wherein they bought a few household items and, at the same time, talked a bit about their recent ganaps in life.

Since the young actress, who played Toks in the well-loved KathNiel series 2 Good 2 Be True, is currently renovating her bedroom by giving it an industrial finish, she looked for decors that will be a great accent to it, such as “aesthetic” lamps made of recycled glass bottles and scented candles, as well as plates and drinking glasses that their family could use at home.

As DJ Jhai Ho spotted a red ball, this reminded him of her on-screen partner Yves Flores, whose character’s name in the said teleserye was “Red.” The host told Gillian to share what happened during the highly talked about Eraserheads concert last December 2022, wherein she was spotted sitting on his shoulders. According to her, Yves offered to carry her on his shoulders since she couldn’t see both the stage and LED during the time the legendary OPM band sang one of their hits, “Ligaya”.

The two continued their chat while munching on mangga with bagoong, in which she expressed how she is looking forward on doing another project with Yves anew. She also clarified that there’s nothing romantic going on between them as they’re just close with one another since they got to spend more time together during their lock-in taping. Moreover, DJ Jhai Ho made clear that it’s not only Gillian and Yves who went together in the aforementioned concert, but he, her sibling, their 2 Good 2 Be True co-actors Matt Evans and Irma Adlawan, and her fellow Rise Artists Studio talent Kaori Oinuma were also there.

With regards to how she celebrated the holidays, she disclosed that she was just at home with her family during Christmas and went to Caloocan City to visit her grandma’s mother. The same happened during the New Year.

By the end of the video, it was revealed that it was originally DJ Jhai Ho who invited Gillian to go to Dapitan Arcade since he was planning to buy gifts for his loved ones. However, it was her who ended up shopping.
