Following the successful seven-year run of his iconic teleserye “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” Coco Martin is set to be back on primetime reprising another FPJ classic – and he is joined by a huge all-star cast.

Dreamscape Entertainment surprised fans last Monday, December 5, with its announcement of the modern retelling of Fernando Poe Jr.’s 1986 film “Batang Quiapo.” That alone is enough to send us waves of excitement. But, the line-up of actors gave us all the more reason to look forward to the series.

Coco will be paired with Da King’s daughter and Supreme Actress Lovi Poe, plus he is reunited with showbiz luminary Charo Santos, who played a special role in his previous teleserye FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.

The action-comedy film “Batang Quiapo” is about Manila’s pickpocket kingpin Baldo (FPJ), who is determined to start a decent life after his time in prison. He meets a young female thief named Maria (Maricel Soriano) asking him to take her as an apprentice, but instead, he tries to put her on the right path.
