Just like anything in this world, being in showbiz is also temporary. Thus, there are celebrities who decided to put their hard-earned money to profitable investments that would make their earnings grow and would serve as their fallback once their life under the limelight is already over. While some chose to invest in real estate and businesses, others opted to buy arable lands and turned them into farms – just like the celebrities listed in this “PUSH Pins” feature!

First off is Angel Locsin, who owns a farmland located in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. She and now-husband Neil Arce featured it in one of the vlogs they uploaded on their YouTube channel in 2020, through which they gave the viewers a quick tour around the farm that she had acquired in 2014 and even showed us how absolutely hands on they are in this “passion project” of theirs. In fact, it was even the award-winning actress herself who cut the grasses and planted lemon trees! We wonder if they’re already able to come up with a great name for it.

Veteran actor Albert Martinez is indeed happy to have obtained a five-hectare retirement place in Treasure Mountain, Tanay, Rizal, which he proudly showed to TV Patrol in 2019 during his 58th birthday celebration. He described it as “really beautiful” and “nature at its best” as sea of clouds can be seen from it between 5:30 and 7:00 in the morning. Besides, he also likes it for its proximity and organic food it offers.

Another celebrity who’s a happy and proud owner of a farm garden is Mylene Dizon, who usually shares on Instagram some of her harvests. She may not be able to work during the lockdown, yet the actress used this as an opportunity to focus on her organic farm in Silang, Cavite. According to her, farming is something that is close to her heart as she’s been doing it ever since she was little and disclosed that she actually planted vegetables at the balcony of her condominium.

Aside from her beloved family, Viral Scandal star Dimples Romana also has another “baby” – their family farm in Alfonso, Cavite. In a Magandang Buhay episode in 2019, she gave the momshie-hosts and viewers a tour around it, which, according to her, is the product of the paycheck she received from her stint in the 2009 teleserye Only You. Apart from their farm in Cavite, their family also has a farm in Calaca, Batangas, from which they’re able to harvest tons of produce during the lockdown, as seen in one of her posts on IG.

When she’s not busy with her showbiz commitments, Zsa Zsa can be found at her two-hectare farm house in Lucban, Quezon named Casa Esperanza, which is derived from her real name. In some of her vlogs, the ASAP Natin ‘To mainstay revealed that she started improving the place in 2018 by planting various plants and building casitas. The veteran singer-actress also shared on IG the fruits of her dalandan trees and the process of making organic fertilizers.

From one veteran diva to another, Kuh Ledesma also takes pride of her farmland in Indang, Cavite, which she named after her daughter Isabella. Her four-hectare Hacienda Isabella didn’t only serve as a home for her throughout the lockdown, but to returning OFWs as well as she opened it as a quarantine facility in August 2020. Besides, it is where the digital film of Ian Veneracion and Iza Calzado entitled “The Battle of Brody and Brandy” was also shot.

Last, but not the least, is FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano actress Sharon Cuneta who owns a three-hectare farmland in Alfonso, Cavite, which is popularly known as Sweet Spring Country Farm. It has already produced natural and organic vegetables and fruits, which some they donated to healthcare workers during the onslaught of the pandemic.

What about you, Kapamilya? Do you also dream to have your own farm? Are these celebrities able to inspire you to try your hand in farming as well?
