Ever since it premiered last May, 2 Good 2 Be True has easily become our favorite primetime series. Well, it’s not surprising because there’s plenty of things to love about, such as it being KathNiel’s first teleserye project since 2018, as well as its refreshing and interesting narrative.

While Kathryn Bernardo is paired up with her reel-and-real-life sweetheart Daniel Padilla, we also couldn’t help but admire her unlikely yet adorable tandem with veteran actor Ronaldo Valdez. They may have come from different generations, but playing their roles Nurse Ali Fajardo and Hugo Agcaoili, most popularly known as “Lolo Sir,” have apparently made them closer on-and-off-cam. And we’re able to see that through the snaps and clips of them together captured off-cam that they upload on Instagram.

Every time the reels are not rolling, this dynamic duo could be spotted goofing around, taking silly pictures or videos, or hanging out with one another, their other co-stars, and the staff and crew. There were also instances when Kathryn brought her furbaby Snowy, much to the delight and gigil of Ronaldo, who they fondly regard as “Tito Ron”.

When the Asia’s Superstar first posted about him late last year as they began their lock-in taping, she captioned it, “Achievement unlocked: a photo with my favorite actor, Tito Ron!” She further disclosed how working with him is such a huge honor for her and makes her heart flutter, stating, “It's such a privilege to be working with him for this project! Fun fact: He was our ONLY choice for the role when they pitched #2G2BT last year. No one else. Being able to do this show with him is one of the highlights of my 2021.”

For sure, just like in any project, Ronaldo was able to impart valuable lessons about life, career, and love to her and other younger actors. However, Kathryn shared in another post that he also taught them the right way to age gracefully. According to her caption, “A. Exercise + healthy diet / B. Avoid stress and laugh more often / C. Give in to your sweet tooth and eat whatever makes you happy / Tito Ron's answer: All of the above but definitely C! HAHAHA!”
