KathNiel’s comeback series “2 Good 2 Be True” is starting to look even more promising as we get to know more of the key players on the show.

ABS-CBN Entertainment released character teasers on YouTube introducing Eloy and Ali to legions of excited fans. Here’s what we know about the tandem so far:

Eloy played by the Supreme Idol of this Generation Daniel Padilla works as an auto mechanic but dreams to become a lawyer. Seemingly, this ambition is inspired by his convicted father. Although a ‘mambubudol’ or swindler, Eloy has a big heart for his family, friends, and community.

The latter part of the teaser hinted at his personal motive for working as Don Hugo (Ronaldo Valdez)’s mechanic, which is to investigate the old man’s connection to his father’s incarceration. Searching for answers, Eloy will find Ali, Don Hugo’s nurse.

Asia’s Superstar Kathryn Bernardo’s Nurse Ali is a dependable daughter. She’s introduced as a spirited ‘raketera’ working hard for her mom and younger sister, and her dream to become a doctor. She juggles different jobs as a medical professional working as Don Hugo’s personal nurse.

The teaser underscored Ali’s disgust toward dishonest people, triggered by her mom’s bad experiences with scammers. So, imagine her surprise when she sees Eloy, whom she suspects as ‘mambubudol’, working at Don Hugo’s mansion.

Joining the star-studded cast are Ronaldo Valdez, Gloria Diaz, Gelli de Bellen, Irma Adlawan, Romnick Sarmenta, and Cris Villanueva. It also stars Alyssa Muhlach, Jenny Miller, Yves Flores, Gillian Vicencio, Pamu Pamorada, and Bianca de Vera.

“2 Good 2 Be True” is set to premiere via Netflix on May 13, and on free TV and Kapamilya platforms on May 16.
