Our weekend nights have been filled with sheer entertainment and excitement with the arrival of the first-ever 2-in-1 reality talent competition program in the history of Philippine television three months ago – Your Moment.
Aside from showcasing world-class singing and dancing talents of various acts from different parts of the world, the show has also amused and delighted us with the formidable comedic chops of its hosts Luis Manzano and Vhong Navarro who never failed to bring comic relief amid the intensity of the showdowns and emotions of every participant.
As we look forward on the much-awaited finals of Your Moment this coming weekend, let’s take a look back on the 10 moments when Vhong made us laugh our hearts out loud with his hilarious banters with his co-host, the three judges, and the contestants, as well as with his funny antics and jokes, in this video.
Those who have been avidly watching It’s Showtime knows how fond the 43-year-old multi-faceted artist is in delivering ‘knock-knock’ jokes out-of-the-blue, which he did bring to the talent competition along with his wittiness and sprightliness that relentlessly brought good vibes to the everyone in the studio and at the comforts of their homes.
He’s also able to somehow diminish the uneasiness the performers probably felt after their presentations by exchanging banters with them, teasing them with Judge Nadine Lustre, who turned out to be the ultimate crush of several of them, and telling them puns that would definitely lighten up the intensity of the emotions they’re feeling.
Aside from injecting humor to his interviews with every group, such as when he introduced himself to a foreign all-girl dance squad as the Lee Min Ho and Rain of the Philippines, he would enthusiastically recreate a portion of some of the dance acts’ performances as well that really entertained us so much.
Of course, his mock linguistics lessons 101 with some of the foreign contestants were unmissable, too! Despite already hearing those jokes before, he still didn’t fail to make us laugh because of how he nailed in delivering those.
Vhong’s humor is definitely one of the things we’re going to miss about Your Moment, so you better not skip the grand finals this coming weekend, Saturday after Home Sweetie Home and Sunday after Rated K.
