Top acts from the Philippines and the world clashed for one final “Grand Moment” in the 2-in-1 reality talent competition Your Moment.
In the end, rock band Juan Gapang from Bacolod City was named the grand singing champion and the dance crew Kenyo Street Fam from Bulacan was adjudged the grand dancing champion in the finale on Sunday, February 2, at the ABS-CBN Studios.
Juan Gapang, who earned a remarkable final total average score of 97.22% performed Bamboo’s “Tatsulok” in the final face-off of singing acts.
Led by reggae artist and former The Voice of the Philippines favorite Kokoi Baldo, Juan Gapang said they chose the “Tatsulok” because of its powerful message and striking lyrics. Kokoi became emotional at the end of their performance realizing their journey until that “grand moment.”
On the other hand, Kenyo Street Band from Bulacan, who danced to the tune of Bone Thugs and Harmony’s “Crossroads” took home the dancing title with an outstanding total average score of 97.22%. The Bulacan crew performed yet another jaw-dropping well-coordinated funeral/after-life-themed streetdance routine that left the audience awestruck.
Verse Band from Las Pinas City ended as the singing stage runners-up while the Fabulous Sisters from Japan finished second placers in the dancing stage. Verse Band wowed the judges and the audience with their heartfelt rendition of Yeng Constantino’s “Ikaw”. Fabulous Sisters, meanwhile, had women empowerment as the theme all throughout their journey in the show, truly lived in the moment and danced their hearts out on stage.
At the start of the show, the singing coaches—Nyoy Volante, Randy Santiago, and Marcus Davis, and dancing mentors Andy Alviz, Lema Diaz, and Vimi Rivera graced us first with their spectacular performance at the beginning of the program.
Likewise, all the four acts in the final grand showdown performed inspirational song and dance numbers with judges Nadine Lustre and Billy Crawford, and host Vhong Navarro.
The Your Moment grand champions bagged cash prizes of two million pesos each with talent management contracts from ABS-CBN.
