Vhong Navarro and Luis Manzano’s strong, witty friendship as seen on Kapamilya programs

In this grueling world of show business, having everlasting and genuine connections is perceived to be impossible since hectic schedules and disparaging issues are highly inevitable. That’s why it is truly delighting whenever we see celebrities whose friendships are able to stand the test of time, just like Your Moment hosts Luis Manzano and Vhong Navarro.

They might come from different walks of life and backgrounds. Luis is the only child of esteemed thespians Star For All Seasons Vilma Santos-Recto and Edu Manzano who spent most of his life in the limelight as a decorated television host, while Vhong kicking off his showbiz career as a member of the legendary all-male dance crew Streetboys – it was truly amazing how their paths crossed many years ago.

Let’s take a look back on how their bond continues to tighten and grow, as seen on their TV stints.

ASAP

How their friendship started might remain a mystery up to the present, but we are assuming that it sparked when they were introduced as one of the Sunday variety show’s in-house boyband “Kanto Boys”, which was also comprised of multi-awarded actor John Lloyd Cruz and International RnB Sensation Billy Crawford.

While they’re not equally talented when it comes to singing and dancing, the awesome foursome were able to amuse the viewers with their unmistakable comedic chops that they incorporate in their performances that are usually parodies of music videos, teleseryes, or movies.
They might be excelling in different areas, but it was their natural sense of humor that bound them together.

Minute To Win It

Well, Vhong has never played yet nor made any personal appearance in the gameshow hosted by his beloved friend, but he was still able to surprise him by being the voice behind the blueprint then sent him his well wishes for his 38th birthday this year. He even expressed his fervent yearning for them to star in a movie.

The 42-year-old It’s Showtime host might not be present on his program, but Luis was still able to make fun of his friend after a contestant mentioned his name as the Kapamilya artist he would love to bump into along the hallway of ABS-CBN.

It’s Showtime

He may not be there to greet his Vhong in the flesh for his highly anticipated comeback on the big screen via the 2017 comedy flick Woke Up Like This, Luis was still able to send his felicitations to him via VTR, not to mention revealing how his friend looks like when asleep.

Home Sweetie Home

After years of not working together, Luis and Vhong found their paths intertwined anew after being picked as the newest additions to the long-running Saturday sitcom who would put a different flavor to the life of Toni Gonzaga’s character Julie.

Your Moment

And before the year ends, their remarkable tandem is set to entertain the Kapamilya viewers after being tapped as the hosts of the upcoming reality talent competition of ABS-CBN billed Your Moment.  By just watching this teaser, we already knew that Vhong and Luis is going to do a good job in spearheading the show while amusing us with their distinct hosting prowess.

Catch the amazing duo of Vhong and Luis on Your Moment beginning this November 9, Saturday, after Home Sweetie Home, and November 10, Sunday, after Parasite Island.
