Onyok Pineda and his adorable performances in Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids 2

From captivating our hearts as the cute and naughty sidekick of Ricardo Dalisay (Coco Martin) in the primetime series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, he soon amazed us with as one of the celebrity kiddie contestants in Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids Season 2, through which he’s able to showcase his talent in singing and dancing.

As the musical impersonation show approaches the final curtain, let’s take a look back on the awesome production numbers of the “Bibong Astig”.

WEEK 1 - Bamboo

Onyok Pineda apparently went full circle as he once again performed on-stage as the Pinoy rock icon Bamboo, just like what he did four years ago in the Mini Me segment of It’s Showtime, where he finished second runner-up. The only difference is that, he’s cooler and better in his rendition of “Hallelujah”.

WEEK 2 - Apl.de.ap of The Black Eyed Peas

He might have a small voice, but he got us screaming “sige!” with his amusing take on “Bebot”.

WEEK 3 - Elvis Presley

You surely wanted him to be your “Teddy Bear” and take him everywhere after delivering his impression of Elvis Presley.

WEEK 4 - Francis Magalona

Onyok made an endearing performance of “Ito Ang Gusto Ko” as the late Master Rapper Francis Magalona. He truly gave his all in this very entertaining number.

WEEK 5 - Jolina Magdangal

Our hearts terribly went “Chuva Choo Choo” as he brought us back to the era when Jolina Magdangal’s hair was still studded with colorful hair clips and she was still dressed up in a bright-hued attire. This first-ever production number as a girl truly made everyone happy.

WEEK 6 - Rod Stewart

We were extremely flabbergasted with his impersonation of Rod Stewart for he was able to mimic the raspy voice and snazzy dance of the legendary rockstar in performing “Hotlegs”.

WEEK 7 - Freddie Aguilar

After several weeks, Onyok finally bagged his first-ever medal after his moving interpretation of Freddie Aguilar’s “Bulag, Pipi, at Bingi” which garnered a standing ovation from everyone in the studio.

WEEK 8 - Coco Martin

Apart from being the cutest sidekick of his Kuya Coco, it’s safe to say that he is indeed the most astig impersonator of the multi-faceted brilliant actor. “Peksman”, mamatay man!

WEEK 9 - Arnel Pineda of Journey

He once again unleashed the rocker in him through his impersonation of the Journey front man and Pinoy pride Arnel Pineda – from his look up to his powerful voice.

WEEK 10 - Daniel Padilla

It seems that we already have another future heartthrob to watch out for after seeing his impression of the King Of Hearts Daniel Padilla. He sang Daniel’s hit “Nasa Iyo Na Ang Lahat.”

WEEK 11 - Louis Armstrong

His on-point and endearing take on Louis Armstrong’s “What A Wonderful World” received a standing ovation and praises from the judges.

WEEK 12 - Ely Buendia of Eraserheads

Onyok truly filled our hearts with “Ligaya” (or joy) when he transformed into Ely Buendia, the vocalist of the popular 90’s band Eraserheads.

WEEK 13 - Mike Hanopol

Onyok amazed us again with his rocker persona through his rendition of “Laki sa Layaw,” the 70’s Pinoy Rock anthem popularized by the legend Mike Hanopol.

WEEK 14 - Lolita Carbon of Asin

Channeling yet another Pinoy rock icon, Onyok astoundingly nailed his cover of “Masdan Mo Ang Kapaligiran” while dressed as its original singer Lolita Carbon of Asin.

WEEK 15 - John Travolta with Bella Echarri

Although Xia Vigor wasn’t able to commit to be his partner for the special episode of the competition, Onyok still gave his all and surprised everyone with his team up with rising child star Bella Echarri in recreating the iconic scene of John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, singing “You’re The One That I Want” from the 1978 movie Grease.

Will the Bibong Astig snag the most coveted grand winner title? Let’s see on the final showdown of Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids Season 2 this weekend, August 18 and August 19.
