As the Kapamilya network announces the much-awaited return of the exciting and entertaining celebrity talent show Your Face Sounds Familiar soon, fans of the one and only Megastar Sharon Cuneta surely couldn’t wait but see her reprise her role as one of the jurors.
But before we get to see her back on television, let’s take a look back on some of her notable stints in ABS-CBN through the years in this feature!
Ever since her showbiz career took off in the 1970s, Sharon has been known for her exceptional singing prowess. Yet, she was also able to showcase her flair in hosting when she began appearing on TV. Her first-ever project under ABS-CBN was the Sunday night talk show The Sharon Cuneta Show that ran from 1986 to 1997. Sharon was aired from 1998 to 2004, then from 2006 to 2010.
Her reality singing competition, Star Power: Sharon’s Search for the Next Female Superstar, was launched in 2010 that spawned to Angeline Quinto as the grand winner.
The 55-year-old OPM icon made a comeback to the Kapamilya network in 2015 through the inaugural season of Your Face Sounds Familiar. She served as one of its judges alongside Gary Valenciano and Jed Madela for the first two seasons.
At the same time, she also had her comeback to the ASAP stage, wherein her appearances were among the most highly anticipated.
In 2016, Sharon was tapped to join Bamboo and Lea Salonga as the mentor-judges for the third season of The Voice Kids Philippines.
Even though the Popstar Royalty made her return in The Voice Teens Philippines the following year, the Megastar remained as one of the coaches who didn’t only guide her proteges, but also provided entertainment to the viewers and her colleagues.
She also remained as one of the judges of the first-ever staging of Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids in 2017, alongside fellow Filipino music legends Gary Valenciano and Ogie Alcasid.
