“Pinoy Big Belter” Lie Reposposa has a big voice, big talent, and big dreams. Her passionate personality and tenacity for taking on challenges is something we have discovered about her all too well.
In 2018, Lie let us hear her beautiful voice when she joined as a daily contender on It’s Showtime’s Tawag Ng Tanghalan. We also found out about her dream of being part of Pinoy Big Brother and after a few months, saw her fulfilling that dream as the show’s “Teening ng Tawanan ng Davao”.
Finishing off as a Batch Winner and finalist of PBB Otso, Lie is a sure fan-favorite that audiences want to see more of. Now, as a fearless contender once again, Lie tries her hand at the impersonation reality game show, Your Face Sounds Familiar Season 3.
It’s only a few days until the huge season finale where we’ll know her fate so for the meantime, let’s look back on all her performances through the weeks.
Week 1: Lie Reposposa as Moira dela Torre
Lie started her Your Face Sounds Familiar journey strong as she transformed into the Queen of Hugot songs and top trending Pinoy artist Moira Dela Torre. The young singer wonderfully mimicked Moira’s soothing and melodic voice while singing “Titibo-tibo”.
Week 2: Lie Reposposa as Whitney Houston
In Week 2, we jumped in on the super dance party led by Lie. The Pinoy Big Belter sang “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” as the multi-awarded and best-selling recording artist Whitney Houston.
Week 3: Lie Reposposa as April Boy Regino
Bringing us back to the 90’s, we got to see OPM pop and novelty singer April Boy Regino on stage through Lie’s imitation. She truly gave us a nostalgic experience as she sang April Boy’s “Umiiyak ang Puso”.
Week 4: Lie Reposposa as Donna Summer
Lie stunned us with her flawless makeup and sparkling cocktail dress as the Queen of Disco Donna Summer during Week 4. The show transformed into a grooving night while she performed “The Last Dance”.
Week 5: Lie Reposposa as Sheryn Regis
From the moment she stepped on stage, the judges’ jaws immediately dropped. Lie’s poise and crystal clear voice singing “Kailan Kaya” made us feel as if the Crystal Voice of Asia Sheryn Regis was actually there.
Week 6: Lie Reposposa as Lolita Carbon
Lie showed off how powerful her voice can be as she took on the challenge of impersonating Pinoy folk and rock singer and band member of Asin, Lolita Carbon. She sang one of the singer’s hits, “Usok”.
Week 7: Lie Reposposa as Yeng Constantino
Emotions filled the night on Week 7 when Lie emerged as the singer-songwriter and pop rock royalty Yeng Constantino. With Yeng known for her relatable senti songs, Lie graced us with her rendition of the singer’s “Cool Off”.
Week 8: Lie Reposposa as Elizabeth Ramsey
Lie completely surprised us with her transformation on Week 8. We couldn’t recognize her at all under her make-up and prosthetics because she looked exactly like the Philippine’s Queen of Rock and Roll, Elizabeth Ramsey. Not settling for anything less, Lie also amused us with her effortless copying of the iconic singer’s energy and stage presence while singing “Waray Waray”.
Week 9: Lie Reposposa as Celine Dion
Week 9 presented a new task for Lie to become the best-selling Canadian artist Celine Dion. Although she doesn’t need to wear too much make-up like the week before, she had an equally daunting task of perfecting her imitation of Celine singing the timeless song, “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now”.
Week 10: Lie Reposposa as Imelda Papin
We were taken back in time the moment we heard “Isang Linggong Pag-Ibig” play and saw Lie entrance as Asia’s Sentimental Songstress Imelda Papin. Each line she delivered didn’t feel any different from the classic OPM song.
Week 11: Lie Reposposa as Sampaguita
It became an ultimate jam fest when Lie rocked the stage as the Pinoy rock singer and songwriter Sampaguita and sang the hit “Bonggahan”. Lie even got the right amount of rasp and spunk, making it a Sampaguita-worthy performance.
Week 12: Lie Reposposa as KZ Tandingan
Lie turned into Asia’s Soul Supreme KZ Tandingan on Week 12 and performed the singer’s Himig 11th Edition winning song, “Marupok”. The resemblance between Lie and KZ in that moment was uncanny because from the hair, to outfit, to the voice and the mannerisms were like an exact replica.
In this exciting finale, all contenders will choose their own favorite ultimate idol to impersonate as they vie to become this season’s Grand Winner of one million pesos and a house and lot.
