Keeping up with the moniker “Rising Sweetheart,” young star Vivoree Esclito was a delight to watch and listen to in the season-opener of Your Face Sounds Familiar. Transformed as Sarah Geronimo, Vivoree sparkled with charm as she performed the icon’s popular hit “Tala.” Even solid Popsters showed their approval and here’s what Vivoree feels about that performance.
Vivoree still basks in overwhelming joy, saying it’s an honor to copy her ultimate idol, the Popstar Royalty herself.
“Sobrang hinahanggan ko talaga siya dahil sa mga performances niya and just the way she is. Role model ko talaga siya kaya sobrang honored and grateful ako na may tiwala sa akin ‘yung mga tao na kaya ko siyang ma-impersonate,” she said of Sarah.
The young artist was humble enough to admit that her performance wasn’t perfect. Knowing for a fact that Sarah is an icon, a flawless performer, Vivoree knows she can’t be her. Nonetheless, she gave her best. She also knows she still has a lot to improve and learn. She thought she did a bad performance but the words of praises and support inspire her to do better. Vivoree thanked the supporters and the coaches who helped her.
For the next round, Vivoree will impersonate Geneva Cruz, who is also one of this season’s participants. Knowing she’d be watched by the icon she’s copying might sound awkward and scary to some. But Vivoree knows how to just enjoy the experience. And what better way to prepare than ask for tips from Geneva herself. She’s glad that Geneva is generous and is there to help.
Although she has no idea what’s in store for her in the coming weeks, Vivoree wishes to impersonate Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber, Vanessa Hudgens, and Mandy Moore. She’s been receiving fans’ comments saying she’d do great as Zendaya and Camila Cabello.
