Your favorite celebrity musical competition is once again down to its season finale as celebrity performers will be showcasing their final performances in the competition. The grand winner of Your Face Sounds Familiar Season 3 will be finally named at The Grand Showdown today Sunday, May 30.
The celebrity performers who remained to be toughest in the competition are Christian Bables, CJ Navato, Geneva Cruz, the iDolls, Klarisse de Guzman, Lie Reposposa, and Vivoree Esclito, and one of them will be hailed as the competition’s grand winner of its third season, winning a trophy, brand new house and lot, and 1 million pesos. But before we get too thrilled and all, let us first reminisce at the greatest performances done by the previous winners of Your Face Sounds Familiar Season.
Melai Cantiveros as Miley Cyrus (2015)
Host, comedy actress, and the first ever grand winner of Your Face Sounds Familiar Season, Melai Cantiveros, shocked everyone with her explosive final performance in the first season of the competition in 2015. She emerged victorious as she defeated other Final 4 celebrity performers Nyoy Volante, Jay-R, and Edgar Allan Guzman with her impeccable impersonation of pop star Miley Cyrus.

Garnering 51.93 percent of public votes, Melai left everyone speechless with her final performance where she wore a white top and underwear just like what Miley’s outfit looked like whenever she performs her hit single “Wrecking Ball,” which was the same winning piece that Melai sang in her performance. Aside from the outfit, Melai also did not miss the most important prop which was the wrecking ball.
Denise Laurel as Beyoncé (2015)
Actress Denise Laurel was most likely considered as the dark horse during the second season of the competition as she actually never won in the weekly rounds which, according to her, made her son really sad. But with enough hard work and impressive talent, Denise came out showing she got what it takes to be the winner and she just proved that the famous saying that you should really save the best for last is in fact true.
With her splendid impersonation of Queen of Pop Beyoncé, the judges were certainly captivated. Denise showed everyone her breathtaking performance of “Love on Top" and "Crazy in Love" which outdid the performances of the other finalists such as Sam Concepcion, Kean Cipriano, KZ Tandingan, and Michael Pangilinan.
Awra Briguela as Nicki Minaj (2017)
It’s a different story for young star Awra Briguela because throughout the competition, he was a consistent crowd’s favorite because of his humorous performances including his impersonation of Dionesia Pacquiao which made him win the first week.
And he did not disappoint the fans and the viewers until the end of the season as he left everyone even more speechless with his astonishing impersonation of Queen of Rap Nicki Minaj as he came out wearing a pink wig and performed the rapper’s most famous single “Super Bass.”
Awra was declared the first ever grand winner of Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids Edition. He bested other child stars including Elha Nympha and AC Bonifacio who won the second and third place respectively. Awra received a trophy, a medal, a house and lot, P1 million and a trip for four to Jeju, South Korea after garnering 95.41 percent of votes.
TNT Boys as Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj (2018)
The TNT Boys, composed of Keifer Sanchez, Mackie Empuerto and Francis Concepcion, have already been big stars at their young age. They have already established their own singing style, but in this competition, the three proved that they’re certainly not only great singers, but skilled impersonators as well.
With their shining outfits and high heels, the TNT Boys stood out from the rest as they channeled their inner Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj. They definitely ended the second Kids edition of the competition with a bang as they performed “Bang Bang.” Their perfect combined score of 100 percent just says it all.
