Lyca, the “YOUNG DIVA NG MASA” from Cavite, first showed off her talent in the first season of the The Voice Kids Philippines. During the Blind Auditions, she performed the Aegis hit song “Halik” and Coach Sarah Geronimo pressed the button for her, making her a member of Team Sarah.
She became the first grand champion of the reality singing competition. During the Live Finals, she impressed the coaches and the viewers with renditions of Regina Velasquez’s “Narito Ako”, Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe”, and Aegis’ “Basang Basang Sa Ulan”.
Before joining the singing contest, she used to scavenge junk as one way to earn money for her family. She appeared in an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya portraying herself in her own life story. She also became a part of the primetime series Hawak-Kamay.
