Esang De Torres as Liza Minnelli - 24 Stars
“Bago dumating si Lea Salonga ay may Liza Minnelli… Pagkatapos ng isang Lea Salonga, I believe Esang De Torres ang kailangang abangan ng lahat.” – says Judge Gary Valenciano, who just came back on the show last week
After being so clearly speechless, the jury managed to speak out some short and very meaningful comments about Esang’s performance. Esang proved to us once again that she has that Broadway star quality everyone should anticipate. The moment Esang came out of the iconator, Judge Sharon Cuneta already gasped in awe saying “wow”. When she performed Liza Minnelli’s ‘New York, New York’, the jury and the audience couldn’t say any single word. Her performance indeed blew their minds.
Esang successfully transformed into the American singer and actress. She captured Liza’s powerful voice and notable stage presence which all seemed to have truly enjoyed. She was indeed, sensational. It’s no question how Esang topped this week’s ranking.
“That deserves 8 points, for me,” says Judge Ogie Alcasid.
