After conquering the world, the universe rather, Pia Wurtzbach then set forth to capture our hearts through her appearances in different Kapamilya programs in the recent years. Well, being on television wasn’t new to her anymore since we all know that she used to be one of the most popular teen stars in the early 2000s before entering pageantry in 2013 via Binibining Pilipinas and winning the most coveted Miss Universe title in 2015.
However, amidst of all the commitments and responsibilities she had to fulfill as Miss Universe, we’re still able to see the different facets of her and a portion of her life through her guestings. Aside from that, she also unraveled her impressive skills in dancing and hosting, which makes her a good choice to be one of the presenters of the upcoming World Dance Philippines.
As the prestigious American reality dance competition begins to shake our weekend nights up beginning this Saturday, January 12, let’s revisit five of her most remarkable stints on ABS-CBN.
Months before flying to Las Vegas, Nevada to vie for the crown, we saw her whip and ‘nae nae’ together with ex-Kapamilya star Rayver Cruz and fellow beauty queen Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago during her appearance in ASAP in 2015.
She wowed us with how she nailed grooving to another dance craze, “Dessert”, in her high heels and elegant suit in her amusing interview with Vice Ganda on Gandang Gabi Vice.
On her first-ever guesting on It’s Showtime in 2015, the 29-year-old Filipino-German stunner greeted the madlang people by sashaying around the stage ala-beauty queen while being surrounded by the members of the Hashtags dancing to the modernized “Binibini”.
Her stint on the noontime show didn’t end there because she became their guest co-host for the day and she returned a number of times in the recent years.
We already know that she got the groove and the eloquence, thus, it was indeed a revelation when she let us hear her singing voice through her duet with her Revenger Squad: Gandarappido co-star Daniel Padilla of the Frank Sinatra classic “Somethin’ Stupid” on their appearance on ASAP.
After thrilling us with a song number, she and the Teen King went back to the ASAP stage, but this time with their leader Vice Ganda a.ka. Gandarra and supporting actors-slash-comedians MC and Lassy, to promote their Metro Manila Film Festival entry Revenger Squad: Gandarappido through a “werpa” and “petmalu” production number.
Are you excited as us to see Queen P more often on TV? You better not miss an episode of World Dance Philippines beginning this weekend!
