Our nights are set ablaze with the Abrenica brothers’ awesome looks and hot physique on Primetime Bida programs. We’ve been seeing Vin in the vengeful drama Wildflower as Jepoy Madrigal, the former minion of the Ardiente-Torillo clan. And now, we’re also going to see more of his older brother Aljur with his just announced role as Miguel on FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, his first stint as a certified Kapamliya talent.
They rose to stardom after winning two different talent search shows in rival networks and became sought-after leading men in their respective home networks. Aljur kicked off his career in 2006 while Vin 2012, but it was the latter who first moved to ABS-CBN.
Vin’s first gig as a Kapamilya was in 2015 through the legal/crime drama anthology Ipaglaban Mo and since then appeared in two more episodes and three stories of Maalaala Mo Kaya. He is also often seen performing in ASAP and joined the 2017 action-comedy film Extra Service alongside Arci Muñoz, Coleen Garcia, and Jessy Mendiola.
On the other hand, Aljur had his first movie through the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival entry Sa Ngalan Ng Ama, Ina, at Mga Anak starring the Padilla clan and was headlined by Pinoy action icon Robin Padilla, who is the father of his girlfriend Kylie Padilla.
However, it seems that they’re not the only visible Abrenicas in showbiz as their youngest bro, Allen, is beginning to make his presence felt in the local entertainment scene as well. In October 2016, he tried his luck by joining the reality singing competition Pinoy Boyband Superstar, wherein he revealed that he opted to temporarily stop studying to focus on the competition, which he considered as his 'calling'. Although he garnered 89% of approval rate from the all-girl audience, he fell short in the preliminary auditions after the judges unanimously said no to his rendition of TrueFaith’s 'Huwag Na Lang Kaya' and didn’t made it to next round.
It seems that talent, good looks, and well-carved physique indeed run in the Abrenica family, thus we’re so thrilled to see them in more Kapamilya shows!
