Before we get ourselves engrossed with this ridiculously good and utterly relevant romantic comedy, let’s get to know first the three lead stars that would either melt or break our hearts through their compelling portrayals of their respective characters.
Certainly, many of us are already familiar with Park Seo Joon because of his appearances in a bunch of successful shows in the recent years. Among his television projects, the most remarkable were Dream High 2 (2012), A Witch’s Love (2014), Kill Me, Heal Me (2015), She Was Pretty (2015), Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth (2016), and Fight for My Way (2017). Now, he’s going to make us swoon and chuckle as the narcissistic chaebol (Korean term for “large business conglomerate”) Ivan Lee who is extremely full of himself.
The beautiful and sophisticated secretary Mariel Kim is played by seasoned actress Park Min Young. Just like his leading man, she also appeared in various series throughout her stellar career, with some were shown in the Kapamilya channel – Sungkyunkwan Scandal (2010), City Hunter ( 2011), and Glory Jane (2011).
Meanwhile, breathing life to the enigmatic and charming book author who Mariel admires so much and older brother of Ivan -- Bryan Lee -- is fast-rising actor Lee Tae-hwan. From being a model, he entered show business and had his debut in 2013 as one of the members of the first-ever acting idol group “5urprise”. Since then, he has appeared in a string of shows, with Pride and Prejudice (2014), W (2016), and My Golden Life (2017) as his notable works. Those who were able to watch W would remember him as Seo Do-yoon, the loyal body guard and friend of the lead protagonist Kang Chul (Lee Jong Suk).
