With their superb portrayals of a deeply affecting plot, the cast of Kapamilya series Viral Scandal made us cry buckets from pilot to its finale last May 13. This time, they’re making us LOL with these compilations of blooper reels!
Production unit RCD Narratives released a series of videos following the show’s successful finish. And this treasure trove of funny ‘Viral’ moments is divided into three episodes – the bloopers of the teleserye’s love teams, one from the Ramones family, and another courtesy of the Sicat family.
Karina Bautista and Aljon Bautista aka KarJon had the most ‘animated’ moments in the story as cat and dog Bea and Pogs. In one scene, Karina almost backflipped out of shock, and in another, Aljon saved her from a moving ball. Such scenes can’t be perfected in a single take, of course, and we’re not complaining because the bloopers are giving us both hilarity and ‘kilig.’
Since Charlie Dizon and Joshua Garcia deliver long dialogues in their scenes together, the tendency is to stutter or completely forget. Another highlight of their characters Rica and Kyle’s story is finally meeting at the rooftop of the old building wherein he almost fell after catching her handkerchief. It turns out the Ramones family is not that perfect. There’s a flying insect in their mansion, for one. They stutter, too. Jigs (Markus Paterson) couldn’t control his laughter over a breakfast convo with dad Bobby (Gian Magdangal). The patriarch Alberto (Jong Cuenco) accidentally says “peklat” after a missed dialogue. Atty. Laura (Ria Atayde) could be forgetful at times.
Jake Cuenca as Mayor Troy hardly breaks from his character. The only thing that distracts is a ringing phone or somebody shouting “Darna!” in the background.
We’d just like to comment that Maxene Magalona and Kaila Estrada, aka Audrey and Raven, respectively, still look so elegant and gorgeous even when they can’t remember their lines!
The Sicat family encountered some problematic props in their scenes like the bathroom door that opens in the middle of a confrontation.
In the video, there’s Dimples Romana as Kakay’s exaggerated reaction over the ‘condom’ issue of her kids, and almost breaking the plates in another scene.

Charlie couldn’t control her laughter over Karina modelling her shimmering dress. We’re curious how many takes it took to perfect her scene slipping on stairs. And, what happened to Louise Abuel and the rice platter?
Ahh! We all miss the Viral Scandal family! The best remedy we could think of is watching these reels.
