Kapamilya series Viral Scandal is one intense and meaty teleserye that every episode makes it to social media’s trending list. Recently, Miko Raval and Jake Cuenca, playing Dan and Mayor Troy, respectively, added more ‘punch’ to the show with their super realistic fight scene.
Here’s a quick recap of what happened. Dan stormed to the Ramones mansion after learning that his family was there since Audrey (Maxene Magalona) rescued Bea (Karina Bautista), Nico (Louise Abuel) and Pogs (Aljon Mendoza) from a threat.
Dan’s already wounded ego bled all the more upon learning that Kakay (Dimples Romana) and Rica (Charlie Dizon) met with Mayor Troy without him knowing. Miko hit double wins in that episode as the head-to-head battle with Jake was followed by another emotional confrontation with Dimples.
It sure takes a lot of effort, preparation, and just natural skills to execute such gripping scenes worthy of a standing ovation. In his Instagram account, Miko let us take a peek into their ‘building’ process. Check out these behind-the-scenes photos!

The cast not only takes instructions from Director Dado Lumibao but also brings up their ideas for a creative collaboration.

Then, the actors rehearse and align with each other. Look at Miko and Jake practicing their fight choreography!

Rivals but only on screen. Here’s a photo of Miko and Jake smiling behind the scenes. Kudos also to the makeup department for adding realism to the no-holds-barred fist fight!

The cameras start rolling and, together, the stars of Viral Scandal create a compelling harmony of their unique thespic styles.

It takes a village to mount such a heavy scene. Miko captions these photos with heartfelt gratitude to the whole team. “Salamat sa lahat ng bumubuo ng RCD Narratives for this opportunity and for creating a story na sobrang na enjoy namin i-portray. Sa mga co actors ko, salamat sobrang generous nyo at mapagmahal kayo kaya kitang-kita ng lahat yung resulta ng trabahong pinaghirapan natin gawin. I love you guys!!” he said.
Jake also shared the highlight scene on his Instagram page matched with words of appreciation for the brains behind the progressive teleserye, and a declaration of pride to be part of it. “Life is but a symphony. Throughly enjoyed doing this fight scene with Papa Dan, @mikoraval but the editing and musical scoring though! Wala akong masabi kundi nakaka proud to be part of something so beautiful.”
Besides the magnificent acting, all the other elements in the scene were extraordinarily on-point. Who would have thought a slice of soulful classical music could be used as background to an otherwise chaotic brawl? Viral Scandal has indeed gathered all the crème de la crème of teleserye.
In her Instagram post, Dimples lauded her co-stars and the head of creative teams, from Carmina Cuya’s “hauntingly moving musical score on this breathtaking scene,” to the writers for the soul-piercing dialogues, the directors led by Direk Dado for the flawless execution, and producer RCD Narratives. “Couldn’t be any prouder, working with exceptionally talented artists!!” she said, then ended the caption with, “Now talk about acting as an ENSEMBLE.”
On Miko’s post, Charlie commented that it was also one of her most memorable scenes in the series. “Love you all. Will never forget this night,” she wrote.

Emotions may be running high in the drama but once they’re done filming, Team Viral Scandal is back to their happy and ‘kulit’ bonding moments.

How will the Sicats soothe the brewing conflict in their family? Don’t miss an episode of Viral Scandal, weeknights, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z.
