Since Viral Scandal has a story that represents ‘reality,’ we can expect the scenes to also appear true to life. Recently, the teleserye delivered a very naturalistic pool confrontation involving main characters Rica (Charlie Dizon), Kyle (Joshua Garcia), and Jigs (Markus Paterson). And if you wonder how it’s mounted, the artists gave us major behind-the-scenes access via social media updates.
In the January 12 episode, Rica bumped into Jigs at a clubhouse before her team’s client meeting. Triggered by trauma, she panicked as Jigs got closer, causing her to lose balance and fall into the swimming pool. She was all the more alarmed when Jigs plunged and tried to get her out of the water. Someone had to save the heroine, of course, so Kyle came like a knight in shining armor. Axel (Jameson Blake) arrived, took off his jacket and gave it to Rica. Raven (Kaila Estrada) also got in the mix, keeping it a star-studded face-off.
In an Instagram post, Charlie broke down how pool scenes are made. It turns out they we’re just standing in the shallow end, so “kailangan magpanggap na malalim ‘yung pool.”
But that’s only half of the challenge. The other test is not to allow the cold water to affect their performance. Now that’s acting!
