In a video blog he uploaded on his official YouTube channel last October 30, Xian Lim warmly welcomed us in the classy yet cozy abode that he shares with his Mommy Mary Ann, Lolo Miguel, and Lola Leonie.
He commenced the video by imparting how fond he is of plants (but refused to be called as a “plantito”) and that they only renovated the house upon acquiring it 10 years ago since it was erected in the early 80s. Upon entering the wooden main door, we were greeted by the spacious and cozy receiving area that is made even more vast-looking by the high ceiling.
Aside from the couch, which was the second furniture he bought as soon as they moved in, he also showed us the luminescent geodes, the soft and comfy carpet, the cute silver kiddie car, the book he borrowed from his high school’s library, the Buddha figurine, and the rubber vase found in the room.
Xian then took us to what seemed to be his “man cave”, where he usually hangs out and talks about life with his friends. It contains some of his book collections, including a huge origami book since he’s a self-confessed enthusiast of the said art. He even demonstrated how to create a paper crane and play harmonica!
Heading to the lanai, we spotted some of his paintings and framed cross-stitch creations of his grandma. As he went back inside the house, he brought us to the dining area, which he revealed very personal to him since he didn’t have the chance to eat with the whole family when they were still living in the US. It also has a bar dedicated for his Mommy Mary Ann and an automatic trash bin that opens and closes through hand sensors. He played as well a bit of a Franz Liszt composition on his white piano.
The 31-year-old actor-director also gave us a glimpse of the second floor, wherein old photographs of her mom and a cross-stitched portrait of her Lola Leonie can be seen in the hallway.
He then took us to what seemed to be the game room, where we saw the enormous clown and doll collections of his grandma are enclosed in a transparent showcase, a red refrigerator containing bottles of water and jars of his favorite peanut butter, a billiard table, a grandfather clock, and an antic piano made in the 1800s.
They also have another living room where he usually takes his visitors and where the other musical instruments and plaques and trophies of the Love Thy Woman star are displayed.
Being a huge fan of nature parks and waterparks, Xian, of course, has a pool area surrounded by different kinds of trees and plants, where he also plays basketball and exercises since his mini gym is situated there. There’s also a life-size statue of Incredible Hulk, which reminds him of the 2012 Star Cinema flick “The Reunion” that he starred alongside Enchong Dee, Kean Cipriano, and Enrique Gil.
The last destination was their capacious parking lot where their vehicles are stationed. He even gave us a peek of the car he usually brings to his tapings, which he disclosed was the first-ever car he bought ever since he started working.
Before he ended the video, Xian promised to get everything ready in order to present the other portions that weren’t featured in this house tour next time!
