Thirty-eight (38) confidently beautiful women from different parts of the country vied for the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 crown. The MUPH’s coronation night was held on Saturday, May 13, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Just when Makati, Bohol, Davao Oriental, Baguio City, Zambales, Bacolod, Agusan del Norte, Sorsogon, Eastern Samar, and Cavite were already announced as the Top 10, host Xian Lim made a special announcement. He said that due to technical difficulties, the committee had resulted to manual tallying, which meant that the Top 18 candidates would compete for the evening gown and vie for the Top 5.
